  1. It looks like falling one more spot to #15 is Minnesota's most likely outcome (35% of remaining possible scenarios), staying at #14 or dropping to #16 are the outcomes for about 20-25% of scenarios each. In about 10% of outcomes they could rise to #13 or above or fall to #17 or below.

    Thanks for the quick stats!

So as I am looking at those numbers it appears to me that the Gophers have a 30% or so chance of getting that last at-large seat? That's a wee better than I had hoped for, but I can live with that. :glare:

  2. I am SOOOOOOOOO glad that the goofs lost, but Stalock makes me nervous. Really have to watch that pass he does up the ice - especially when the other team is changing. We can take him, but everybody is going to have to be going at 100% and on the same page.

If Watty can snipe that pass once or twice it would take that away the rest of the game. But yes, Stalock is a great puck handler, and he sees the ice pretty well from back there. I'd love to see Eidsness get that mastery of the pass in a year or two...

  3. They're #14 on the PWR right now. So if that's how it ends they'd be the last one in, right?

Nope. The pwr can shift more than that this weekend depending on the outcome of all the other games. Teams below 14 are playing and hope to move up through a win or a COP/TUC loss.

  4. you are worng on your duncan stats. i dont think he was a top 10 hobey guy, he had 37 points. i mean we all know how valuable he is to the sioux but he isnt a top hobey contender this season. maybe duncan in top 10 but thats a stretch to me. stoa i would say for sure as he is all the gophers have and he is a a big reason that top line clicks

colin wilson will win this and deserving and i agree Palushaj should be on the list. ill pull for lamoureux all the way :glare: hope he gets in the hobey hattrick for frozen 4 fridays ceremonies

I'll definitely pull for Lameroux all the way. He's had a great season at Air Force, and he's part of our extended Sioux family. ;-)

  5. I hope I don't get murdered for this, but anyone else want us to lose tomororw? I want the Sioux to stay hungry and I think a loss might not be so bad for us tom in a meaningless game. Thoughts?

Not going to kill you, but a loss isn't where you want to be this time of year. It's all about the PWR.

IF the Sioux lose again, I'd just as soon it was tomorrow night as anything, but I really don't want to see them lose another game this season. There are a LOT of seniors on this team. Correction. There are a LOT of HUNGRY seniors on this team. They know what is at stake this time of year. I hope they feed themselves with every chance they get.

  6. I dunno, there are some people that think Walsky should get another start. I doesn't make any sense to me.

Agreed. And not just because I'm from Bemidji.

I understand Walsky has put in his time...he's worked hard, been there for his team through thick and thin. And he's worn the Green and White with pride, and given 100% when he's on the ice.

I also think he knows full well all about the PWR and will understand why he doesn't start tomorrow if, indeed, he doesn't.

He's a team player, and he'll stand his post with pride. That is the Sioux way.

If he starts, he'll give his all. If he's on the bench, he'll be ready to come in at any moment. Like he always has.

  7. Three Sioux fans celebrating in MD, were excited for the FF, hopefully including the Sioux. Looking to the future, how good are we going to be in the next few seasons? If I remember correctly, some saw this as a rebuilding season, myself included.

I said at the beginning of the season that IF the Sioux had a goalie, they'd be right there in the thick of it all year.

Well...after tonights game (and many others this year), I think it's safe to say...we HAVE a goalie.

    WELCOME HOME Mr. McNaughton!!!

    :D
