    You guys are seriously complaining on a night when you chased our best player from the game after a touchdown? Outshot and outplayed the Gophers and basically made my guys look like mites?

    Take it for what it was Hextall got under the Gophers skin and drew the Gophers best forward into stupid penalties.

    No complaints here, best Sioux game I've seen since we treated Stauber and Woog to a 9-0 thrashing back in 88-89. Oh...and the Gophers came back and won the next night, 5-3 or so, if I recall. There's still sixty minutes of hockey left (maybe more) this weekend. I'm looking for sixty more like last night from the Sioux...and I doubt we'll see another sixty like that from the Gophers. Tonight is going to be a great game.

    Especially when it's Sioux v. Goldy

    As I said earlier, Stoa is also worthy of a good old fashioned Hextall attitude adjustment. I will be shocked if he is a willing combatant though as Gophers with any fortitude are a rarity.

    I think the best payback for Stoa and his band of furry rodents would be to shove seven or eight pucks past Kangas tonight and take all 4 points from them on the weekend. THEN do it again in the Final Five on their "home ice". THEN do it again in the Western NCAA Regional. ;-)

    While it was a dismal weekend in the W column, I note a couple of encouraging things.

    1. This team was "clicking" over the past six games (before this weekend).

    2. Trupp and Finley return and most lines are juggled. Changing the aforementioned "click".

    3. Hakstol and Eades will figure out the chemistry again. The "click" will return.

    Will it be in time for the Goofs? We'll see.

    The Kozek rule, clean checking for 2 minutes; have not seen him NOT get penalized for clean checks yet this year.

    Nice to see Kozek playing with some fire...I'd love to see him hit the twine again with some regularity. "The Rifleman" has been far too silent this year... :lol:

    Big win tonight. I will be in the house. As in DaDECC. Can't beat yer Saturday night in the WCHA.

    It is an especially strong and amazing league, top to bottom, this year.

    Losing in the playoffs is completely different than tying a seemingly meaningless regular season game.

    Just fyi...with the PWR there really are NO meaningless games. Every W-L-T has an impact when it comes to tourney selection time.

    (Unless you are Wisconsin and are hosting a Regional). :silly:
