Outcoached is not the correct word. We had our chances and missed a couple of open net opportunities. I'm sure Poolman is still kicking himself for his whiff. That said, this team got scored on late in the first and it seems they failed to heed the lesson of many Sioux teams past...if the clock is tickin' there's still time to score. It's high time we turn that trend around and start shoving in last second goals of our own.

When they win a natty, of course. Just sayin...not apologizing.

Disclaimer: I listened through the green goggles of TH. It seemed to me like Motzko did his homework. St. Cloud had the sidewalls jammed up to prevent the up-ice chips that UND likes to use, and they kept UND away from the crease. All in all, St. Cloud had their defensive assignments down for this game. UND needs to find a better method for penetrating the zone on the PP than dump and chase. That just isn't effective against top rank teams.

Not denying that. But the conversation was about "typical playoff hockey"...typically UND tends to win playoff games, more than not. In the Hakstol era, as well.
