Think of the credibility they could gain with UNC and Duke basketball, they would be what the SEC is to football. Notre Dame's hangup as always would be their TV contract, but if they could get around that the B1G would be pretty impressive (at the top anyway).

OK Al Carlson...
-
The thread about this on the eGriz board is Bison and Bobcat fans arguing with a few Griz comments mixed in, pretty funny when it's neither team's home board.
-
Nashville @ Colorado on Altitude right now if you're snowed in and bored. Go Preds!
-
I've been impressed with their coverage, you can tell they actually take more than 5 minutes to study the game.
-
I don't know about that, I doubt if NDSU was picking up any of MSU's travel expenses but SMU might, Tennessee payed a good chunk of Montana's last year. What other expenses are different?
-
Is that in print somewhere or just blogs?
-
It's not the disaster they're making it out to be, they're going to find another home game and they will probably sellout for it, plus they get to keep MSU's $100k...all will be ok once they settle down.
-
Saw something good on Bisonville today, one of the posters CALLED Appy State about scheduling a home-and-home series with NDSU, posted the number, and encouraged others to call as well. Really?
-
Because they can't play the first game I suppose?
-
Yeah that lovefest has probably calmed down a lot. Have they said anything about whether the WCHA offices will be staying in Denver after DU and CC leave?
-
And questionable penalties.

As it goes on I'm thinking you're right. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hNIX7V21pU&feature=player_detailpage

That's one good thing about Denver hockey, I always get the UND games.
-
I can't figure out the Denver move in the first place considering they said they knew going in that UMKC was leaving, that's why I thought there was more going on behind the scenes that nobody knew about, but as of now nothing new so...
-
A few people with Denver ties have mentioned "Brothers" to me over the years, I think it's a ribs place. They thought it was pretty good.

Schools need to put reasonable escape clauses and substantial punishments into their contracts to discourage this kind of thing, make them ironclad after about November 1st and make the buyout enough to make the school think twice about leaving, $100k might discourage cash-strapped schools but anybody who draws big crowds at home or is considered a decent FBS victim will pay it gladly to get out if something better comes along. I really think SMU is stinky in this deal too because they could have taken any number of teams who were off that week instead of breaking up a potential matchup of highly ranked FCS schools, but they dangled the carrot and MSU bit so it's on them now.
-
Yeah if they wouldn't have waited until the sun went down that Omaha ice would have been almost unplayable, good thing they had some sense there. After these last 2 weekends it's pretty clear if they are hellbent on having these outdoor games they need to do 2 things: 1) Have them in January 2) Make them exhibition or OOC games.
-
Not much, they changed sides halfway through the third to make it "fair", I've never seen that before.
-
If Wisconsin had their way they would play in 2" of water to slow their boring trap game to an even slower pace. Bad ice is a great equalizer for teams with any kind of speed.
-
So now we are tied with Minnesota, behind Mankato and UNO but have 2 games in hand over both as does Minnesota...going to be a big weekend in Denver.
-
Maybe the crappy ice the last 2 weekends will put the outdoor game thing to rest. Time left in the game?
-
Dropping the game this late to me is wrong, but saying they cancelled because they're running from a loss doesn't make sense, they're big underdogs either way. And I'm not defending Montana State, as a Griz fan I think it's funny they are getting hammered, eGriz is having a good time with it.
