I'm all for expanding our recruiting base to the likes of tx,fl,ca,oh.... but with that will come some of these off the field issues as well as you're bringing in a different kind of player from different backgrounds. you take the good, you take the bad and two in a row is what you have. those on here who have cried for public executions of these players and bohl, will you still be as righteous if some of those issues creep up here and the succuss is there?

until hak has a couple of 9-24 seasons in the span of what four years, let's stop this non-sense. are we frustrated by the ho-hum start this season, absolutely. are we frustrated by the nc's in the last 13 years, absolutely. but let's also remember the program with the most national titles(michigan) hasn't won in 15 years and I don't sense a let's fire Red outcry there. Hak puts this program in a postion to win every year, it just hasn't happened yet.

I really don't think we should, I am a hak suppporter but in the spirit of the day I couldn't resist. however, your argument of being the premiere team in their league doesn't fit with the men right now either.

it was a bit of an exaggeration, but it seems like we get all these kids who put up gaudy numbers that don't translate here.

take the 2010-2011 team and use that as a blueprint for the types of players you need to fit hak's system and recruit those types of players. this team isn't physical or tough enough to play that type of game. just don't recruit a kid because he has 100 points in the bchl.

we don't spend a lot of time with the puck either, we didn't last year either so I would agree with this program it is becoming a trend.

the frustrating part isn't the split, and I think most on here would agree. the frustrating and demoralizing part is we aren't seeing any light at the end of the tunnel. und has played six games at home and has not looked good in one of those. in fact one could say of all their games this season only the Friday game at Miami is the only one in which they looked good. it's the same old story each game, no offense and not very smart hockey. I also don't want to hear about the injury bug as the team two years ago was decimated by injuries but had the leadership(#9 and #2) and the heart to get through it and it wasn't that much more talented than this team.

wouyld you have expected anything less with number 3 officiating. that blown cross check call on mattson in the first that lead to the the 3 on 1 and go ahead goal was brutal.

25-10-7 are all completely worthless and shouldn't even be out there. and to have them all on the same line is just wasting ice time. the line if it were to be together for another needs to be called the "worthless line". this team is seriously lacking basic skills as they can't keep a puck ontheir stick with noone around and have difficulties clearing their own zone due mostly to weak ass attempts. not expecting anything great or spectacular for the rest of the season and probably a one and done if they sneek into the ncaa. only real question is can the gophers be stopped before winning their 6th in philly.

winning the 5 on 5 battle will be key this weekend as both teams have stellar pk units at this point. this has split written all over it. although that is what I thought two weeks ago.
