I see a couple of 2-1 or 1-0 games. it seems that when we play these defensive oriented teams we can nevery really have a breakout game. so both games really close.

I have the same feeling I did in 2000 when it came to Wisconsin, let CC have the cup-we'll take the broadmoar(sp) and the NCAA title. It actaully maybe works to our benefit if CC wins the cup as they will proably be a 1 seed and if we're a 1 seed we won't get shipped out there. I still say we end up as the last one seed placed in Albany with Miami and hopefully BC.

The system is goofy in which they would become a TUC but our wins wouldn't count int he TUC column.

I saw a thread earlier thi season that UND was going to be participating in the Ice Breaker out in Boston with BU, Mich State, and one of the Umass schools. plus UND will be in the Great Lakes Invitaional. that means we need some home NC games(BSU and Cornell?)

it's all fun and games until march 14th and then the boys will put the restraints on.

any chance if the league reviews the tape that mannino gets a game dq for fighting added on?

I believe the third tie breaker is head to head goals, right now assuming neither us nor cc has any more ties and we end up tied at the end of the year we own the tie breaker as we scored more goals then them head to head 7-6.

better scenario, we clinch the cup friday versus st. cloud and walski starts sat night versus scsu. everyon's happy then. although I bet Walski gets a start either way versus SCSU if we don't have much ont he line that sat. phil starts both this weekend.

a bc sweep would flip the new hampshire comparison int he pairwise for us.

if the tournament started today the number one seeds would probably be placed as follows: michigan-madison newhapshire-worcester und-albany cc-colorado springs I do believe there is some provsion that the top seed be placed closest to home if possible

we will see them as much as any other series, these are 2 huge games come the pairwise and rpi. all the good we did this past weekend would be for not if we drop one to bsu.

and a loss to them would be devastating for us.

I don't think this is the time of year for anyone to be wanting certain players to be dropping the gloves and fighting. we need everyone to be out on the ice not in the press box being cheerleaders. getting in a fight and having to sit out a game isn't going to help us get a 1 seed or advance to denver. simple rule right now should be "skate away, just skate away"

I was listening to part of the DU/Minn game on the radio friday and Denver's announcers were saying that what has gotten DU into trouble the previous weeks was letting people camp out in front of Mannino and getting four five whacks at the puck. Garbage goals could be huge this weekend if we are to be successful. That and in itself could be a problem because I don't think that is something that we do alot is camp out in front of their goal we tend to look more for the highlight reel goal. Could we also figure out someway to get a PP goal or 2 each night. Anything less than 3 points this weekend and we will finish 3rd and in all likelyhood end up as a 2 seed. That being said I think DU has gotten over their problems and this weekend has split written all over it.
