what is the actual rule on this, is it like in basketball where as long as a player releases the ball before the clock hits zero the shot counts or is it the puck has to be in the net before the clok hits zero for it to count?
-
I didn't think I was implying it had anything to do with the gophers.
-
we can say what we want about the "homerism" for the gophers as far as power plays go, but this is the second time in a month that denver has had a goal allowed for them(SCSU) and not allowed for their opponent(UW) that affected the outcome. I would start to say the league darlings are now the Denver Pioneers as far as officiating goes. on a side note I was absolutely shocked that campion allowed finley's goal last night considering the way he officates games against the Sioux.

I agree, I think our d from the neutral zone back to JPL has regressed since the season started. Way to many careless passes which lead to turnovers which lead to goals, i.e. this past Friday night and into the first period on saturday. Plus could somebody please tell TJ that it is okay to shoot the puck. way too many times this season I have seen him be in a good scoring position and he passes the puck instead of shooting and we get nothing.

maybe this whole oshie thing was an elaborate scheme planned up by hak and osh to give oshie 1 more days rest to heal up for a torrid stretch run. the unh guy was just a casualty of war.
-
so who's paired with duncan on friday? kaip, kozek, duncan?
-
smothing tells me hak has their full attention this week after this with or without oshie.
-
wouldn't that be something-the main reason the kid comes back to is to finish some"unfinished business" and then his off ice behavior turns out to be a major contributing factor to this team not finishing that business.
-
wasn't he on probation for the judy's incident, would anyone know what kind of effect this might have on that?
-
maybe i jumped the gun alittle bit, afterall we did outscore msu 6-0 when oshie got tossed for cfb penalty the first game of the year.
-
looks like the trend will continue, lose friday and win on saturday on the road for the ever popular split-whew the hits just keep on a comin.
-
who cares about cupcakes or not. this team isn't that far off from putting things together. if we don't collapse on saturday and win 2 other saturday homes games we've played we're 12-4-1 and everyones happy. fact is we are where we are because of our own doing but we aren't in as big of a hole as we have been the last three years, my gut feeling-if we win on friday we break a trend and complete the sweep on Saturday and get things rolling.

I'm guessing he is referencing sprinsgsteen, soprano and schiano(the Rutgers head fb coach)
-
probably won't help but I have 1 for each night if anyone needs one.

I thought we played kind of soft last night, not real physical and I think that really hurt. I do think that some of the mistakes that happened last night are coachable and I believe Hak will get them turned around. I also think that one we get our first sweep of the season whether it happens this weekend or next it get the Sioux rolling into a nice long unbeaten streak like last season.

I meet with them next wednesday

Kaip has been on the second line for most if not the entire season so far, move vv down to the two or three line and problem solved.
-
no because the ncaa tries to avoid interconference matchups in the first round unless it is absolutely unavoidable.
-
yes it is very possible, depends on seeding and if the badgers are in the tourney and where they are seeded in accordance with und.
-
hopefully history can repeat itself.
-
well now I wouldn't be surpised if when we go down to the john in february that they announce a BC score just to get at our goat being they've eliminated us the last 2 years.
-
all I want for x-mas is for the sioux to start playing like we know they can and a return trip to the frozen four.
-
I think that once this team gets a sweep under its belt it will snowball into a prolonged winning streak. Let's look at the bright side here in that in Hak's first three years here we have been swept at least once in the first half of the season: once his first year, twice his second year and 4 times last year before x-mas. This season we haven't been swept once, we have a winning record both overall and at home and have played arguably the toughest schedule in the country. I think anybody on this board would take us finishing 3rd and hanging number 8 at the end of the year instead of winning number 14 and coming home early in March. Let's hope the boys can heal most of their injuries in the next few weeks and come out like gangbusters against UNH, which when it comes to the pairwise at the end of the year this could be our biggest series of the year, it could mean the difference between a solid 2 seed or a 3 seed.

we've never worn the green at home that I can remember. we've worn black on 2 occasions, the very 1st game of the 96-97 season and the weekend we retired ralph's number against st. cloud.

if playing with and edge with a little more emotion is what gets this team going, how about during the new hampshire series if we happen to win on friday night, break out the black jersys on saturday just to get a little more pep in the guys seeing they seem to play thier best in the black ones anyway.
