not to be picky but I did say next weekend not this weekend.

I bet the boys come out next weekend flying and put out their best efforts of the year witht he mentality of "us against the world" and win a pair for Hak.

this is getting blown way out of proportion and could somebody please tell me what the difference between Hak flipping the bird or watching all these players, coaches and refs use the "f" word all throughout games is. nothing. Did Hak use some poor judgement, yes. did he man up and apologize for it, yes. let's move on. In fact a couple of years I was sitting right behind the Sioux bench at the Ralph and thank God there were no kids around with all the profanity being flung around even by refs when Derek Shperd skated up to the bench and told Hak he f***ed up about something and he wasn't quiet about it either.

we are leaning towards the final five.

for the first time in my life I can say I will be pulling for the gophs this weekend against denver to get at least a split. plus I really hope we don't face them in the first round unless we can figure out way to solve kangas.

I think if the Sioux come out and play like they did the last half of the game last night and get one early, the flood gates could open. 5-2 sioux

great win by the guys tonight, showed alot the way they turned it around after the first period. let's stop one trend tonight-the last 2 ot games we've won, we've lost the very next game. let's change that tonight. also, would anyone know why the all-time series records vary when you look at the gophers perspective and the und one. I mean in the und media guide at the beginningof the year it showed the gophers as having I think 129 wins and last night and in the minnesota papers it shows them with 137?

my wife and I are going to the frozen four this year and we've agreed that we will take one other sioux hockey related trip, either the Final 5 or the regional wherever it is, any suggestions as to which would be the better one to take?

maybe by year's end we'll have a dominate top line and balanced scoring in addition.

I think if cc can sweep clarkson this weekend and we go 7-3(2 wins against bemidji is a must) in our last 10 games, win our first round series and make it to the f5 title game we should get us a one seed.

In this week's bracketology Jason Moy said that there were no longer bonus points for good non conference wins, none. however in the pairwise on siouxsports.com if you look at each individual comparison we have a .003 bonus as do some other teams. Am I taking Moy's statement the wrong way and there still is a .003 bonus?

I think if we can atleast get a split this weekend and sweep denver that will go along way towards that, but first things first lets take care of business on friday night.

I would love to see the Sioux team that played the last 5 minutes of the Saturday gopher game here play for 120 minutes this weekend. if that were to be I think all us sioux fans would be very happy come sunday morning

I have afeeling that in atl east one of the games the gophs will get 3or 4. I see both games being of the 3-2,4-3 variety.

I completely agree, I think that even the the gophs record of late hasn't been that stellar I think they are putting forth a good effort every night(which can't always be said for our favorite team in the green and white). as I eluded to in a previous post I think that the gophers are a very dangerous team right now, wounded and desparate. I sure hope the boys don't go into this weekend overconfident because if so they will come home with 0 points. this week kind of reminds me of December of 2005 when they gophers were coming off being swept at home by the badgers and we were comign off a 5-1 road trip and heading into a weekend series at the ralph agianst the gophs. everybody was saying at that time that there was no chance the gophers would win and we would would steamroll them. what happened next? we got swept at home. Kind of the same scenario now in which we are heading into Mariucci on a 7 game winning streak and they come in limping and not a lot of people are giving the gophs a chance this weekend. I just hope we can come out of there with 2 points this weekend because I think we will get the gophers best effort of the entire season this weekend.

why not the ncaa would amost, and I say almost be guaranteed a colorado team in the frozen four then.

I bet you we would be out east in worchester in new hamspshire's bracket as a 2 seed playing either bc or providence and denver and cc would be paired in the same bracket out west.

I can't predict much more than a split for our boys. reason being I think in order to sweep the gophs in their rink you have to be playing at the top of your game and last night proved we're doing that yet despite winning seven in a row. we've had issues this season coming out ready for games and matching the other team's intensity level and you know the gophs are going to come out flying this weekend as they are a desperate team. I don't think getting dominated by the last place team in the league on your home ice puts you in great postition to go into your biggest rivals home rink and sweep them.

I could see a scenario if 2 or more wcha schools are 1 seeds, plus I don't put anything past the committe.
