here'a a hope and plea that big Joe decides to come back for his senior year. a year ago I was ready to pack his bags for him but after watching Joe this season I have a completely different view this year. With the odds against Chorney coming back it would be huge to get big Joe back to help in front of a freshman goalie. I know there are some of you out there who will be willing to pack his bags for him but it will be a much different team to have 5 returning defenseman on the ice each night versus four and 2 freshman. So Joe please consider doing what your fellow teammate Ryan Duncan did and come back for one more shot at a title as you must have a very sour taste in your mouth after what happened in Denver.

Hak must be doing backflips. now chorney, finley and kozek please play follow the leader and come back(at least 2 out of 3 anyway).

If I'm not mistaken he put up some pretty good numbers in juniors without the likes of toews or oshie playing along side him.

Captain Ryan, I like and I think would be well deserved. Maybe Finley could wear an A if he returns.

This is a public forum and I can have what ever opinions I want, if I hurt your feelings I'm sorry. But just because I am a fan of the Sioux doesn't mean I have to look at everything through rose colored glasses. To me the success of a team is based on championships won not how many players we have come in play and leave early without ever winning a damn thing whether it be a conference championship or a national championship.

could somebody maybe answer this question as to why this took so long, as it was known that oshie and the blues had been talking since the frozen four. why not sign and finish out the school year. same thing with chorney and finley? Duncan I can see as to fielding free agent offers. Crappy part is we might be in limbo in some of these players until july or august.

I never said he scored 20 goals his freshman year, it was 24

that's a road we shouldn't go down as none of these kids are first round picks. that team 3 years ago had 6 first round picks in stafford, zajac, toews, oshie, finley and lee. this squad wil not have any first round picks. maybe one or two of these kids will come in and score 20 goals maybe they will all score 4 goals. we just don't know. none of these kids has a proven track record at the collegiate level. that is why I am saying we can't base our hopes for success on freshman you don't kno what you are going to get. we've had kids who light up the canadian junior leagues with the likes of 70 goals and struggle to hit 15-20 goals in a season here(Wes Dorey).

my doom and gloom attitude at this moment comes from the fact as a team they scored 129 goals and if duncan, kozek, finley and chorney are gone as well only 57 goals come back. my point is unless we have some returners have monstrous years it is going to be a very tough year as we can't expect to be carried by freshman and if we do we're in trouble.
