I think I recall hearing during one of the coaches shows a few weeks back hennessy said that in december tj suffered a hip injury. my originaL thought on saturday was that tj may have reaggrivated that injury. hak said back in december that tj could play, it would just be the amount of pain he could take. so time will tell. best bet-we don't see tj unless there's a game 3.
I'm not sure about that last part. in 35 games this season the sioux have scored 4 or more goals 13 times, 0-2 goals 15 times and 3 goals 7 times so odds are we're more likely to see 0-2 goals versus anything else.
unfortunatley I think that's what will be the ultimate downfall of this team. scoring 1-2 goals might get by the likes of bemidji, duluth and st. cloud but come cc, michigan, miami and denver that won't get it done.
I'd say Kozek is the most improved, I base it on production. Kozek simply has produced this year putting up goals, Martens hasn't this year or any of the two previous years.
going back and including the alaska series we have averaged 2.6 goals per game. we will not be winning championships if we continue that kind of production. didn't we make fun of the goophs the last month for that kind of offensive output. despite the fact we are unbeaten, having scored 6 goals in the last 4 games is pathetic.
I think finley is gone no matter what. if we win #8 100% guarantee tj and chorney are gone, if we don't win #8 90% chance they are both gone. 50/50 on duncan no matter what.
in 1997 the Sioux were awarded the cup on a saturday night at the old ralph after they beat alaska to clinch a tie for the cup, I was there as part of the media and was on the ice with them.
I'm hoping it's Frattin that steps up and starts contributing, we need someone on that third line to. I think he has been a little disappointing this year. he started off like gangbusters and then pretty much after november he hasn't been heard from.
I would be surprised if we heard anything more on them, maybe the silver lining is that neither injury is as serious as first thought because Hak hasn't said either are season ending. If I recall correctly two years ago when Fabian hurt his knee it was stated that it was season ending. In 2005 when Brady Murray went down for the year at about this same point in the season I recall a line of Stafford-Zajac-Spirko carrying us to the title game, someone or some line will step up the only mystery at this point is who.
