okay. my point is that we have enough kids on this team that are supposed "scorers" and with at least 6 "scorers" this team should not struggle to score 4 goals or more on a consistent basis. they have only scored 4 or more goals 3 times this season in 14 games. with this amount of talent that should not be an issue to get goals consistently from these six with a chip goal or two fromt he other 12 or so players playing each night. I do have every right to be negative, I measure this teams success and tradition by the green and white banners hanging in the rafters and in the last eight years very few have been hung none since 2004. it's all fine and dandy to make it the frozen four but we have to win the damn thing at least once.
supposedly we have those on this team as well in-duncan,kozek,frattin,gregoire,hextall,toews and trupp. they just need to go to the eye doctor to get glasses so they can see the net they are suppsoed to be shooting at.
I'm not sure it bodes well for us to be playing the SMAAAT KIDS as we don't seem to be a very smart team as we continously do the same things over and over that lead to losses for us.
Oxbow6 I agree BE is not the reason this team is 3 under .500. he has had two bad games and one bad period. the last five games he has given us every opportunity to win, but our offense has let him down. but hey on a brighter note note according to hak we are still really close to going on a streak.
bucky can thank us for their season turnaround as our third period meltdown has propelled them in a positive direction. hats off to buck for reaching .500 as being 0-6-1 and down 2 goals in the third period against us their season could have gone south real fast, but instead they have turned it around to reach .500. our season is a quote this far"we're real close" we're real close" "we're real close" heck Hak even believes this team can reach 20% on the pp for the season yet. he's dillusional(sp).
us sioux fans are fricking unbelievable. we bitch because they lose and can't score and then we beat a good cornell team 7-3 and we bitch about that. how about we just enjoy a win for once.
According to Miller and Martens on the coach's show it sounds like monday and tuesday were puckless practices and they both said they were the hardest practices they've had in their 4 years and referred to the theme being along the lines of intentisty during games. so I guess if they aren't going to skate during games they will during practice. good to see hak do this, just hope it doesn't fatigue them
flying into winnipeg and busing down here-who was the genius that did those travel plans. evidently they must think that Grand Forks doesn't have an airport?
I didn't intend for it to mean he couldn't play hockey and be a dad. all I meant was it is s huge adjustment for a person. I recently went through it and I'm not 21-22 years old, going to school, playing DI hockey and being a new dad all at once. I don't know the kid but to have all that on your plate is more than enough for a person and could very well affect him or not. I just think he looks lost out on the ice for whatever reason.
