  1. Maybe I went overboard with my previous post, but a "suggestion to fans" versus a "scolding" would have been more appropriate on a broadcasted post game interview. I actually agree with Blais, and understand what he's saying. However, I don't think a comment either way was necessary, especially after a win. I just wasn't impressed.
  2. My thoughts exactly, Sicatoka. Take Mussman, leave Bubba. For the love of God leave Bubba...
  3. Who would have guessed that we'd see Wisconsin and Anchorage sweeping MSU & CC this past weekend? I would've lost serious money if I took that bet at the beginning of the season... And if you told me that MSU and UM would be hanging out with TECH in the standings at Christmas break, I would have fell out of my chair. The WCHA, without question, is one hell of a conference. (do we have to worry about UW & AA?)
  4. When the #1 team in the country has one of the worst power play percentages, the fans will get anxious. Blais has been around long enough to know that. I thought it was in poor taste to "discipline the fans" on the radio. In fact, it kind of pissed me off. Hennesy was smart in changing the subject quickly, becuase it sounded like Blais was going to keep going with it. Don't get me wrong, I think Blais is the best coach in the league, (yes, I really do) but he should stick to what he can control. Get your PP percentage at 75%, and people will still yell "shoot", as we're not as diciplined and patient as the team is. You know why? WE'RE FANS, THAT'S WHY! Wasn't this a topic last year too? Let it f*cking go already. (for the record, as a season ticket holder, I was sitting on my hands not yelling or saying anything)

    Nice fan

I suppose you're right on that one...

    Nice fan

Sorry, I just don't think it was that big of a situation. The fan's timing might have been bad with the injury and all, and you shouldn't throw things on the ice. But... Goldy started messing with someone who obviously wasn't in the mood for his shenanigans, and caught it in the ass. I guess if the guy beat the hell out of Goldy, and threw him on the ice, I'd be more outraged and would have different feelings about the situation. But with his cardboard sieve finger? Not a big deal, IMO. And I seriously doubt he was aiming for the injured player... WPoS, is that the most terrible thing you've seen a fan do?

    ...like dead gophers.
  9. TH mentioned that REA has plans to show classic Sioux games of all sports on the FSSN. He doesn't know when, but it is the plan. Thanks, morley!
  10. Too bad... especially when the Alerus is Dry and 68...
  11. I don't know if I agree, but I REALLY like the way you think! Go Sioux!
  12. You are truly a disturbed and resentful bison fan. You should be a Sioux fan... life is good. Besides, whatever would you do with all that money... build a hockey arena?

Good point there... I guess there has to be some selection criteria for the field... you're maybe right about "human error"...
  14. Perhaps you should have earned it when you had the chance. Hell... if you want us to pay for it, I'll gladly donate the 2 1/2 cents...

Definitely should be decided on the field. Not by a poll, not by a computer and a million numbers... let the players decide, and see who wants it the most. That is the only way to see who the real champion is. Can you even be a champion without competing for a championship?
  16. Sorry... we actually have something to play for in the next five years, unlike some schools. Come back in 2009, and maybe we'll give you the time of day. Of course, we might just tell you to f**k off too... who knows?
  17. Then the kid's father should "educate him" on the rules of fair play and sportsmanship, and keep the kid home until he understands those rules. If what we see on TV influences all of our actions, I'm sure we have more to worry about than a few uppercuts between whistles...

    Gophers Lose

Absolutely correct. (but I was still giggling my ass off Saturday night)
  19. I see you attended the Gene Taylor Bandwagon seminar. What level of team maker are you, anyway?
  20. Lionfan03: While you may have been upset by the manners of some of our rowdy student fans, I have to believe that they at least stood with attention during the National Anthem. Where was your team while this was going on? Not even on the field. You want to talk no class... look within. The poorest thing I've EVER seen.
  21. I like their prediction for Saturday's game.
