I understand, and yes, if we had some big DI Men's BB games coming up after our loss, I'd probably be yelling too. But I'm just saying, you guys are actually pretty good in some aspects of FB right now, don't fit the "atleast we have hockey" stereotype. That's all.

Yes, I had a bad day, but I actually didn't mean any disrespect though, it just came across wrong. And no, not the typical bison fan, I actually cheer for UND when they aren't playing the Bison. I guess I was trying to say that you guys should be bigger, yes 12,000 is pathetic, your program is so beyond that, and playing for 6k for a playoff game is pathetic, meaning you should be better than that. My opinion lately is that both of our football programs suck lately. I've had long conversations with a very good friend of mine that is a UND alum. And we both agree that ND should have had 1 large university, playing in the Big 10. I don't know where either of us will be in the next few years, who knows. Him and I both agree though, is that we should be playing each other, even if we don't mean anything nationally. It's good for the state. Sorry if I offended anyone.

I was unaware that the playoff game against Winona was on state wide TV. I honestly would opt out of a playoff game in the FFD against a NAIA team that is not televised and no one shows. Congrats on the win. Why is it that we just can't get along, I honestly post over here out of mutual respect.

I honestly hope you guys do well this year, and props for getting some press here and there. But, " Located in Grand Forks, North Dakota has been a national power in Division II for years. The Fighting Sioux play home games in a domed stadium that seats 12,283. That's all you seat? Pretty pathetic, I thought ours was bad. Plus you don't sell near that much, what, 6k for that last playoff game? Average 10K? That press quoting that is a negative more than a positive, IMO. What are the plans for going back outside anyways???

I honestly didn't mean to bash Sioux Hockey, you have what you have accomplished, seriously. My point is that after living in Montana for a while, I saw how huge FCS football really can be. IMHO, locally in that region, HUGE, bigger than Hockey. Cats-Griz is a hatred rivalry, it's all over the media, even somewhat nationally. Bison-Sioux used to be on this level, but we have lost it. I think we need to renew the rivalry, maybe our game will be on ESPNU, who knows. IT's a love/hate relationship at this point, like I said, one of us needs to do something in football. I am also sick of the anti hockey arguements, or the anti bison football arguements, we each have what we have. Sorry if my point didn't come across.

We can both sit here and argue about who dominated the 80's (bison), who dominated the 90's (sioux), who has the premiere hockey (sioux), who has broken some ground with mens basketball (bison). BUT, truth is, neither one of us mean sh*t to the rest of the schools out there as far as schools from north dakota in DI. You guys can sit here and blow all you want about hockey, but it doesn't mean anything. Just talk to some montana fans about DI hockey, you will get laughed at. Truth is, both schools need to step up and prove themselves in what counts, FOOTBALL. Atleast at our level. Retire the Nickel if that is what it takes, make a new trophy, but we need to renew the rivalry, and 1 of us needs to do something. We sucked last year, probably will this year, but so do you. We got dominated by SDSU 2 years in a row, and you guys got your *ss handed to you by GVSU how many years in a row, maybe they kicked you out of DII? I'm sick of the arguing.

Talked to 2 very diehard sioux fans today at work. 1 of them had to rush home to watch the game, he was rooting for the herd all the way. All bad blood aside for the game it seemed like. Anyways, thanks for some of the good comments over on this board. I am rooting for the Sioux right now in Hockey, on my 52".

WOW, here I thought we had something here. I, as a HUGE NDSU fan have always supported UND hockey, b/c we don't have it here. I expected some bad attitude from some UND fans, Dave K, didn't expect anything less from you. BUT, this is bigger than you jokers, this IS DI basketball. This thing got voted down before it even started, I'd be ashamed of the guys that introduced this and the district they represent. It screams desperation. 90-3 to kill it.

Everything else aside, you have to be the biggest Sioux fan I have ever seen, atleast online. But, what's funny as hell, you live in Fargo? LOL, that's awesome, Karma at it's best? I may have been a little harsh the other night, to be honest, neither of us are very good this year.

I hate to say it, but you guys aren't giving yourself enough credit this year, or in this thread. UC Davis seems down a bit this year, you guys have a shot at blowing them out in this one. Should be a good game though. I just think being on the road you need to score on your opening drive, then you will be fine.
