It's strange to me that the students will be gone. I guess I understand, they want to be home with their families, but why, when you can see some great hockey, and get hammered? Let's see...grandma,sweet potatos, and turkey...or grinders, thongs, and beer bongs? WTF?

Often in baseball, in an effort to inspire the team, the coach gets fired up, and gets tossed from the game, rallying the players behind him. This wasn't exactly the case in Wisconsin, but I feel the players will be inspired after seeing their coach go toe-to-toe with Eaves, and will sweep the Bulldogs this weekend. 4-0 Friday 3-1 Sat

So...what games will everybody be watching tonight? Just curious. Wisco and CC isn't being televised here (but women's softball is...WTF?). God, I'd love to see one of the CC fans hold up a sign "Hakstol Owns Eaves". I have the cable sports package, so AA @ the Goofs is on at 7, but thats about it. I'm going to head down to Steven's Point to watch UWSP vs. St. Norbert in Div 3 hockey, just to check them out.

They are at home vs. the Sioux Falls Stampede...no UND recruits, but looks like a couple for the goofs, 1 for UMD,1 for CC, one for SCSU, and a phenom for Bowling Green (?)(sarcasm)

I see, so most kids don't go to college and try to be a walk-on, but rather improve and hope for the scholarship. I think to some degree, a lot of kids could give a rats ass about the degree, but rather take the best career path to the NHL (Grieco maybe?). So I can expect the Gamblers game won't be as fast paced as UND-UW game. Still a good time I'm sure.

Thanks. After being on this site awhile, I couldn't quite understand all the hype about these jersey, but then I saw a few down in Madison last weekend, and saw that they are pretty sharp.

I have an of topic question, but don't really know where else to put it. You guys are more knowledgable than me, so I'll ask here. Green Bay has a USHL team called the Green Bay Gamblers, about an hour away. I've never been to a game, so I'm thinking it might be worth checking out. When checking out their roster, it seems most of the players are out of high school. Here's the question...where does this team, or the USHL in general, fall in the hockey hierarchy? Are these guys as good as the Sioux? Are they not good enough for a Sioux scholarship? Do players go to the USHL for a few years to improve their game, hoping to get a college scholarship? Just curious, and wondering if they are worth watching. I'm sure someone wil drop the Google bomb on me, or Wikipedia, but thought I'd ask anyway. Thanks
