There you go again, making sweeping generalized statements based on what a few members have posted. I know you 'don't have the time' to read whole threads but then in that same vein, don't make blanket statements like Of course they are and the majority of people are disgusted with what happened to this student. The last few posts are directed at what is suppose to be a picture of a swastika. It looks more like a kite to me. But no one has said the things that happened to this student are acceptable and shouldn't happen to anyone. What is confusing is how does this tie in with the Sioux name and logo? It doesn't. A racist is a racist whether he had a symbol to look at or not. The lack of the name and logo does not irradicate racism or resolve rascism. A swastika, noose, KKK, are all used to intimidate, frighten and denounce a group of people. The Sioux name and logo are used as signs of pride, strength, respect, perserverance, family, and more.

This is what you said. I just wanted to point out that changing a name and logo made NO DIFFERENCE in the racism on those 'prestigous universities'. Changing a name and logo will not change someone's mind set. The 'plight' of Native Americans is not the result of a name and logo. Racism is not the result of a name and logo. Dartmouth gave up their Indian mascot in the 1970s, following occurred in the Fall of 2006

A close relative became addicted to drugs after he broke his pelvis in a car accident around 5 years ago. He was in a lot of pain for a long time and still is. Things didn't heal right, I'm don't know what the problem is. What ever it is, the doctors told the family that he's always going to be in pain at one level or another. He's a great guy but started abusing drugs to help control his pain. Things got really bad for him and still aren't 'normal'. He goes to a pain clinic now.

Stopped by GPL and saw 89 posts on the UND vs Rodent thread. Man, there's a lot of venom over there!! Bina's getting a lot of hate probably because of the 189 ft goal. And Finley's getting a lot because he's from Edina. I guess most of the GPL posters live in Section 8 housing in North Minneapolis.

There were others who showed their 'support' of TJ by attacking members who didn't agree with what they posted. Some posters were attacked who didn't say any thing negative about TJ. Thanks administrator for getting it under control. Hak said at the pre-game that in addition to losing the A, TJ also has to be involved in a program designed by the dean of students. Hak didn't wait for the case to be thrown out of court before acting. That implys, maybe wrongly, there are other things going on besides getting stuck in the elevator. All of you who don't want to hear more about this situation should tell Hak to quit bringing it up in public This is a Fighting Sioux sports forum and we're going to discuss things regarding all aspects of FS athletics and athletes. We have the option of reading it or not reading it. You don't like what's posted, don't read it. People who want to post/discuss these things have every right to do so. Well as long as they don't take it to the extreme that Triouxp did.
