The game is sold out, so it obviously didn't price out anyone. I am also going to guess even if they kept it at $50, you still wouldnt have been able to get tickets, thus looking for ones on the secondary market (and paying a higher price). You can complain all you want about the price of the tickets but UND is 100% justifiable in raising the price. Like I said before, UND has been spoiling fans for years with cheap tickets and now is the time to raise them up.

The average fan has been getting cozy in 45-50 seats for the past 17 years and now it is time to change. UND has been short changing themselves for a long time and it is about time they raise their prices a little bit. Demand for Sioux hockey tickets has been at an all time high since the opening of the new Ralph and UND should be capitalizing on it. The market always corrects itself and if UND has a couple bad years of attendance, prices will go down. I am sick and tired of hearing about how high ticket prices are (only a few people), if you don't like the prices, stay at home and watch the game. We are not in the D2 days where we can basically give away tickets. We are supposedly a "big time" program now, lets start acting like it as fans.

Name plates and number are done by EPS still. This is why a roster and what number they get is done early in the summer so Pat Swanson can get all that information off to them. They also send in "extra" jersey just in case they bring someone in mid season or in case a player switches numbers.

That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. UND is D1 across the board, its time they start raising ticket prices to cover some of the athletic budget. The administration cannot afford to be North Dakota nice any longer and expect to be a major player in D1 athletics. The ticket prices will have no effect on how the players play, the could care less, to them its just another game. You people will honestly b$%^H about anything!

Not only did they charge a bunch but they tried doing the same thing that other schools did in the past, make you purchase 2-3 other games to get the UND game. The problem with the gophers is, they cannot sell out their games.

I don't see a problem with charging that much for a game of this magnitude. UND is a premier D1 hockey program and it is not out of line to charge this. Go to any other D1 school that has a premier sports program and you will see that the prices are about the same.

I count 5 on the black jersey and 5 on the whites. The way the ND with the bird logo gets on the jersey is by being on the shoulder patches. It will not be a main logo on the front of the jersey because its not really a logo you would put as a main focal point on a jersey. I still say get rid of the numbers in the middle of the jersey and move them to the upper left of the jersey. They will probably use the new style lettering and do somthing with the words "Fighting Hawks", "Hawks", and "North Dakota".

There is a lot that can be done. Reebox could totally redesign the jersey and have less stripes, no black armpit, etc... I would be willing to bet that there will be no logo on the front. I wouldnt mind seeing the number get moved to the upper front shoulder and seeing the word "Hawks" go in a diagonal way. A lot of times, less is better.

again, it is not a typical move from the twins. if you have watched the twins front office all season you would see that everything they (the new GM) are doing is nothing like the twins of old. i am willing to bet that there will be more moves all the way until the Twins season is done. For the twins to be successful they need to implode first and you will see it with some smart moves in the next coming weeks/months.

Not a typical twins move because they moved him right away for better/younger prospects. You need to remember that the new GM is working with a deplated farm system and old players that are not that great anymore. The new GM is making moves that Terry Ryan would never even think of.

It's going to be nice and hopefully the NCHC keeps the event at the Target Center. This league isnt the old WCHA, it's time to let the good old days of the Final Five die. Moving the league tournament to the Xcel will do more harm then good.

Lammy probably has more than enough money to live off of for a little while, he has a family (young kid probably getting ready to start school), just won his league's championship, what more does he have left in him? I think he would sit down with his family and discuss it if it were brought to his attention. Again, it may be a volunteer position in the eyes of the NCAA but they get paid. He also runs helps run his own hockey school.

He's was a volunteer in the NCAA's eyes but he got paid. For Brandt to take over the position he would need to get paid pretty good as he has a nice insurance business in Brainard. I could see it come down to Kollar, Eidsness or Lammy (this could be the job that gets him to retire from playing overseas).

I don't think so. The landscape of the conference realignment has changed so much that a venue change wouldn't do much for attendance. If they bring it to the Xcel, are we automatically going to get an extra 4-5000 fans? Very doubtful. A lot of these teams need time to develop a good rivalry between them before the NCHC takes off. I also believe that the NCHC wants to be known for their OWN tournament, not be known as a spin-off of the WCHA.
