I wouldn't be surprised if players advisors/agents are talking to NHL clubs who want to get them in their system soon.

I think he had a cousin. Boeser changed the landscape of UND hockey in a positive way and Berry is looking like Mike Eaves at the moment. I am not a "true" fan because I criticized Berry

I would say Boeser was a prize recruit. I mean he was committed elsewhere but we were able to get him to flip.

You don’t need “chippahs” to win a natty, you need the right guys that are coached well and play together as a team. This current team of Berry’s is lost, their captain isn’t a leader and their coach is lost. Some play like their life depends on it and others try to get by on talent alone. There weren’t any “chippahs” on the 96-97 team. Before you say “what about Jason Blake”, remember he was undrafted and started his college career at Ferris State, so no one knew how good he was going to be.

I saw one post that said “how about that all you fire Berry naysayers”. I mean for Christ sake, you barely beat CC after not beating them for 5 straight games and you still aren’t anywhere near being better than the day before.

Which makes my statement even more believable. They couldn’t/wouldn’t even “buy-out” bubba, what makes you think they would for Berry?

That’s going to be the only way to buy him out and I don’t see our biggest donor doing that.

You’re leaving out a lot of the story. Yes he peed in an elevator but the elevator was stuck for quite some time. Not saying it was right but I’m pretty sure we all would’ve done the same thing had we been stuck in an elevator.

We basically need to win the rest of our games to put us in the NCAA tournament. We could afford to split with Denver and Western but that's it. The loss and tie to Bemidji is once again coming back to haunt us.

No need to do that any longer. We need to win out to make it, it’s as simple as that.

Seems to me majority of the people on this board have been concerned with the pairwise since the beginning of the season. This season is another example of how important it is to come out strong and winning non-conference games that are at the beginning of the season.

I've said this before but what happened to UND's ability to get some good goaltending? We never had a goaltending coach before, and we always seemed to have some of the best goalies out there. It just baffles me that we have relied so much on the portal for our goalies the last few years.

They stopped being kids when they turned 18. Yes, being a college athlete is hard but you said it best, "With pay, and a free education comes expectations". Do you think the Blackhawks and their fans give Connor Bedard because he's "just a kid"?

There are a lot of season ticket holders on there that hate when us "normies" criticize the program. Those people represent the money that is being brought into the university, with their season ticket purchase and their donation to the athletic department. I don't consider them as fans who are looking out for the best interests in the University/Program. Those are the fans that go to the REA and destination games because it's the "in thing" to do and the same ones that worship the ground that "mama gaber" walks on.

I think they will be fine. If you look at that stupid cesspool of a group on Facebook (All things Fighting Sioux), you will see that pretty much all of the people on there say the same thing and that they are okay with what's going on because us "negative" fans need to remember that they are just kids, and we can't always have a winning season.

With the portal as an option to players now, the coach basically has to re-recruit the players he has every year anyway. What is stopping Hobie or Sasha from saying to themselves "this is a sinking ship with Berry and I need to go elsewhere"? I know UND hockey isn't for every player but maybe it's been looked at the wrong way, maybe it's not for every coach either.

I doubt anything happens this year. I believe Berry has one year left on his current deal and I don't see a buyout happening.
