  1. Personally, I think it's far funnier watching Lee Corso say something like this: "Not so fast my friend...I look for Temple to pull off the BIG UPSET against Tennessee today. The Volunteers are ripe for the picking." Fast-forward to the 6:00 pm Sportscenter where they are showing highlights of The Vols' 70-3 victory over the Owls... In one game last year, he donned the mascot hat of the LSU Tigers at the end of College GameDay and Chris Fowler busted out in laughter because the Georgia fans behind him were all high-fiving and going nuts because they obviously felt better about Lee picking against them.
  2. Your statistic is a bit misleading, GrahamKracker. Comptom Demographics Borrowing from the link attached above..."The racial makeup of the city is 40.31% Black or African American, 16.71% White, 0.70% Native American, 0.25% Asian, 1.05% Pacific Islander, 37.34% from other races, and 3.62% from two or more races. 56.84% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race." I didn't realize that the government of Ireland (did you include those from Northern Ireland?) has exclusive rights to the words "Fighting Irish". Thanks for filling me in. Now, since my nickname for years has been "GrahamKracker," I am going to ask you to change your moniker on this site as I am complaining about its unauthorized use.
  3. I wasn't Trev Alberts' biggest fan, particularly when his big game of the week seemed to always involve Nebraska, but it was fun watching the banter back and forth with Mark May.
  4. I love how the Commission urges non-Native colleges to "retire" such imagery, yet KnowtheFacts and GrahamKracker can't answer one simple question: If it's racist for the U of North Dakota to use it, why is it acceptable for American Indian schools to use names like Warriors, Chiefs, Sioux, and Indians? I've got spare time...feel free to give me an answer.
  5. GK, I still have one question for you. Why would Warriors, Sioux, or Indians be ok names for schools made up predominantly of American Indians while it is considered racist for an institution like North Dakota?
  6. I think the NCAA has shown that the #1 criteria for allowing schools to keep their nickname is tribal support. With that not being the case in UND's situation, I expect that UND will be the first school denied an exemption. What happens after that will be interesting...
  7. Hwy 85 & 200? Killdeer/Belfield/Watford City area? Nice work!
  8. LOL...thanks for the memory, Brent_Bobyck. I was at UND from '88-'92 and remember Duberman quite well. Remember the old sound system at REA? I used to chuckle whenever I heard this: Penalty to #20 Justin Duberman...two minutes for "splashing". Good times.
  9. Maine fans at the FF in Columbus couldn't say enough good things about UND. It would be nice to see the Black Bears make the trip to Grand Forks again in the not-too-distant future.
  10. I believe the NCAA suspended Paukovich for the game against Colorado College and DU suspended him for the opening game of the NCAA tournament.
  11. Pretty funny, PCM. I think the appropriate line here though is: I'm not a moderator...but I do play one on TV.
  12. Yea, but the early word on the MafiaMan prototype is that when you make his head bobble, his right arm automatically pops up with a dollar for the stripper.
  13. Um....probably not!
