  1. In terms of seeding, not an upset, you're correct. I think Gopher fans are expecting that their team will find the solution starting next weekend. They're going to be disappointed.
  2. How many #1's made it to last year's Frozen Four?
  3. You heard it here first: If it's Minny vs Mankato in the first-round, the Purple Cows will pull off the upset.

  7. Congratulations Colorado College on a well-played WCHA regular season! Now let's get ready for a wild WCHA playoff season! Go Sioux!
  8. Ugh...just got home from Joe Senser's...thanks for bummin' me out.

I hear a good back-rub would get rid of that. I'll volunteer to help.
  10. I can leave BIG at 7:45 and be at Joe Senser's by 8:15 (gotta take MM Jr to his mom's house first). Anyone want to save me a seat?
  11. That's funny how this applies to the NCAA but if I'm a Boy Scout who doesn't want to say 'God,' I find a lawyer who files suit against the club. You apparently CAN have it both ways.

Michigan via where ever they came from.
  13. Cmon, Big A HG, Aaron Rogers is still better than Jackson, Grossman, and Kitna!
  14. It's pretty much accepted that the best team in Minnesota is the AA champion.
  15. Why not add another 17 classes and make it like football here?
  16. That and Chris Harrington received a special "Sparky Jock Strap Waiver" from the NCAA so he's coming back for a few more years beginning in 2009. :
  17. Why doesn't Michigan opt out of the Big 10 so it can go play in Conference USA and hang conference championship banners every year? It's called 'competition.' We can hang with you and want to battle it out home and home, but when a Section title is on the line, we'd rather not take the chance, so we'll stay in A? My money says Burnsville and Minnetonka are better than half the teams playing this weekend. That's what happens in a sectional...someone has to lose.
  18. Early commits aren't necessarily bad, but you often see kids have a change of heart later. Hopefully Nick isn't one of them...
  19. Best chuckle I've had all day!
  20. Wow! Someone finally noticed. Goon, can you wake up the rest of the voters?
  21. I think the MSHSL needs to re-evaluate this "two-class" system. Clearly, no one is interested in watching Class A games. Just look at the crowds. Also, why does Warroad continue to play the "small-town" card while Roseau plays with the "big boys"? A few years ago, the South St Paul girls team won the "big school" title. They graduated a handful of seniors so they decided to bump back down to A league the following year and promptly won that state title. What kind of message are we sending kids by allowing manipulation of the system like that? Let's get back to one-class hockey. Cmon, Minnesota. It was a nice experiment, but it's failed.
  22. What the heck is this comment all about? Wreckincrew is referring to volunteering for events at hockey jamborees or tournaments. Kennedy and Jefferson hockey offer concession stand duties as a way to work off part of your kid's hockey bill. Other times, like at this weekend's jamboree, the parents of the host teams volunteer without being given credit for hockey fees. I'll be at BIG tomorrow night for 4-5 hours doing this...I'd love to be at home watching Edina play Roseau, but such is life. Yea, I know some parents whose five year old kids skate year-round. If their kids love it, good for them. Mine doesn't, so after Sunday, he hangs up the skates until next fall and picks up his baseball glove. Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks...
