Up 2 TD's with 30some seconds left...how foolish do you look if the QB or RB is twisted around like a pretzel and breaks an ankle or tears an ACL because you wanted to punch in one more TD?
Beating a rival for a national title doesn't erase the memory of losing to them earlier in the year? Let me think back to 2000, 82SiouxGuy, for a second...I don't know what the Sioux record was against the Gophers that year and I don't care at this point. All I know is that there is an NCAA hockey championship trophy with the words "North Dakota" on it sitting inside REA.
I'm familiar with Rocky...forgot the quote. Still disagree with the statement. Does Alabama remember losing to LSU in the SEC championship game a few years ago...or do they remember smoking the Tigers a couple of weeks later in the national championship game?
Respectfully disagree. Will baseball recruits see more highlights of UND beating NDSU or NDSU playing #1 Oregon State on TV in the college baseball tournament? Will basketball recruits see more of UND beating NDSU or the Bison defeating Oklahoma in the NCAA tournament?
Hey, I'm with you on that argument. That's like buying a house a block down W 7th Street at Kellogg Blvd in St Paul and then complaining about all the traffic on nights the Wild are playing at home.
Auburn football 2012: 3-9 overall, 0-8 SEC. 49-0 loss to Alabama in the Iron Bowl.
Auburn football 2013: 12-2 overall, 7-1 SEC. 34-28 win over Alabama in the Iron Bowl. And about 30 seconds away from winning a national title.
That's the difference a new year can make.
"Despite the fact that the Sharks were just one game shy of knocking off the Los Angeles Kings..."?
LOL! Nice short term memory loss. The writer realizes that the Sharks choked away a 3-0 series lead with game 7 at home, right?
