  1. Things were going so bad for Notre Dame this weekend that I half-expected Everett Golson to throw an interception in today's hockey game. Anyone on the board live near JohnboyND7? You may want to check in on him and make sure he's ok.
  2. Hey, whaddya know, almost five complete periods of hockey this weekend, and the Irish score a goal!
  3. 5-3-1 with 4 of those wins coming against Niagara and Lake Superior State, two teams with a combined overall record of 2-18. Notre Dame hockey is as fraudulent as its football team!
  4. The Badgers will try to redeem themselves on Friday as they take on Eau Claire Memorial High School at Hobbs Ice Arena.
  5. I think about the only way I'd cheer for Minnesota to beat anyone would be if the opposing team's players were all convicted serial killers and the head coach was Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Even then, I would still be hard-pressed to sing the Minnesota Rouser after a Gopher goal.
  6. Western Michigan was there two years in a row (2012 and 2013) due to the NHL lock-out and the fact that the Broncos were promised an outdoor apprarance. It's Ferris State in 2014, Northern Michigan in 2015, and back to Western Michigan for 2016.
  7. The Miami Dolphins sure are suckers for those fake plays, aren't they?
  8. Well, they did play last year at Comerica Park, so there's that...
  9. I've often wanted to check this tournament out but have never had the chance to. This year's tournament consists of Michigan Tech/Michigan and Ferris State/Michigan State. Has anyone on the board ever been to Joe Louis Arena and seen the GLI? Excluding conference tournaments (specifically, the WCHA Final Five), I think it's right up there with the Beanpot in terms of great college hockey events. Been a long time since UND was a participant, too. Would be nice to get on the invite list again.
  10. I'm hoping the fans start following that rule of thumb as well.
  11. I've always preferred the idea of just focusing on the next game or weekend opponent. Forget about talk of #8, hopefully the only conversation going on in the locker room and team meetings is the Miami RedHawks.
  12. Not well-played, Mauer.
  13. I totally got the point of the direction of the thread and where you wanted it to go...but figured it would just bring out the "ha ha NDSU lost" crowd almost immediately.
  14. LOL...I got lost choosing between Fowler and Herbstreit!
  15. Wow...did Chris Fowler put a dent in your car when he left the parking lot? Maybe Lee Corso took a few minutes too long to order his coffee when in line in front of you at Starbucks? Sheesh...
  16. At the moment, darell, it'd be a lot like Eastern Michigan giving Michigan State grief for losing last night, wouldn't it? "Scores around the nation"? This thread may as well have been called "Bison lose - let's troll all their fans who come over here and post". The ONLY score mentioned by the OP was the NDSU/UNI game...until bincitysioux added some actual scores about 15 posts later.
  17. Just havin' some fun, scpa...this board is quieter than a church mouse about ten minutes after a win, but it would have blown up until well past 2:00am had UND skated out of Madison with, say, a tie and a loss. This is still a big rival and the games were away from home. Wisconsin's record aside, this is a HUGE road sweep.
  18. Penn State at 5-1-2 with wins over UConn, Holy Cross (2), and Bentley (2)...assuming that the Nittany Lions come back to planet Reality when they actually start playing decent teams, is it possible that Minnesota could soon be the only team in the Big 10 with a winning record? I can only hope so!
  19. Tech is at Bemidji State next weekend with a chance to go 10-0. The Huskies finished I believe eight entire SEASONS in recent memory with fewer than 10 wins.
  20. One game at a time...Miami will be a good test. Hello, CBSSN, where are you?
  21. Was watching the MSU/tOSU game when that play happened and just caught the replay on College Football Final. What an unbelievably dumb Dumb DUMB play. Big kudos to both officials for letting that play continue instead of one of them assuming TD or blowing a whistle in error. Also great heads-up by Oregon in picking up the ball.
  22. Jennings had the whole left side of the field open to run for the first down...groan.
