If Alexander Ovechkin, Sidney Crosby, and Claude Giroux were wearing Michigan uniforms last weekend, there would STILL be people here saying either A) they didn't even notice them out on the ice or B) those three players would develop better if they were wearing North Dakota jerseys.

Phil Jackson's 13 NBA championship rings - most of which were courtesy of four of the top fifty players of all-time. How's he doing with his Knicks rebuilding job? I guess he needs to acquire some guy from Cleveland and that Kevin Durant guy from Oklahoma in order to win number 14.

If only Carson Wentz had gone to UND...his face would be on North Dakota hockey jerseys at the Frozen Four. It would be THAT BIG of a deal. Give the kid some props - he's had a hellofa college career and deserves every accolade being thrown his way. If he doesn't make it in the NFL, so what? He's about a million times better than any of us behind the keyboard.

I used to work with the State of MN. One year, my department came in under budget $56K. That money was promptly transferred to another department that was over budget. The next cycle, my department was cut $56K (as it was pre-ordained to that other department). What happened? Did we even out? Nope. My department was under budget again by $30K and theirs was over. And guess what happened a second time... If you wrote a $10 billion check to the state (or your local school district) tomorrow, they'd be back again next year saying "that was nice...but can you spare another billion?" next year. if I make $250K per year and spent $350K, do I have a budget shortfall? No, I have a spending problem.

It's one thing to be negative, it's another to piss and moan about last weekend, blame the players for not taking it seriously, and demand a championship at all costs. THOSE are the fans, I'm talking about. Plenty of folks were ready to jump off a cliff after last Friday night. Remember how "we" blew a shot at playing in St Paul? Hmnnn...Ferris is never an easy out and Denver looks unreal. Sometimes, things just work our how they're supposed to work out.
