I'm surprised you two didn't know that - Tampa Bay only had those on their uniforms FOREVER and the fans had a total melt-down over them being removed with their last logo/jersey change. You know, when they changed their name from the Tampa Bay Lighting to the Tampa Bay Maple Leafs?

I believe it was probably copied from Tampa Bay's idea of the "victory stripes." You know, when you raise your arms in celebration after a goal or a win.

I'm REALLY liking the addition of hem stripes on the black jerseys. I can't believe that some of the folks complaining about the new font wouldn't take that over the removal of the armpit stains from the last set. I'll take the new font any day of the week if it means the black pits are gone.

It needs to be either or? When you hear the words "all about the U," do you immediately think of Miami athletics in general or just football?

You know I voted for Fighting Hawks, right? North Dakota in hockey helps differentiate the team from RedHawks and River Hawks. Fighting Hawks in football helps differentiate the team from North Dakota State. it's not that complicated.

if NDSU had a hockey team in addition to their well-known football team, my opinion would be different.

Shouldn't the logo be roped off so no one can "disrespect" it by walking on it? That N and D look SOOOOOOOOOOOO much better with a white outline!

Didn't even notice that...but was curious as to why the hockey helmets had facemasks on them.

Top one: NOPE. Bottom one: Ditch the UND and make it NORTH DAKOTA or just make the hawk ND bigger. Oh, and the N and D need to be OUTLINED IN WHITE!

Sheesh, I realize that they're changing hockey jerseys big-time, but those look like football jerseys.

I, for one, don't mind the hockey program branding "North Dakota" because ANY college hockey fan will tell you they immediately recognize the name. Tell folks you're a fan of "North Dakota football" and you're bound to hear back "Yea, the Bison are awesome!" from anyone outside of the state. The football team definitely needs to market "Fighting Hawks" while the hockey team is well-known around the country already. That being said, the logos should definitely appear somewhere on the ice.
