Just keep believing it’s a disaster. Just like you said Biden would win in a landslide a few weeks back and Trump has done nothing but gain ground in the polls since then.
-
Why are you such a democratic party fan right now if you're a Bernie guy? Their platforms are very different.
-
A true trumper? I’m extremely critical of Trump and not even sure if he’ll get my vote. Expand your thought process beyond some monolithic, non-existent “Trumper”
-
Yeah, no fear at all from the Democrats. Do you even watch these things or do you just parrot what msnbc and cnn have to say about it? Stop making this two party race. They are all trash human beings who don’t give a rats a$$ about us. It’s a game to them and we are the board pieces. Manipulated and lied to whenever it fits their agenda.

...which he has denied Accept the reality that there are people in the media that want you to continue to fear COVID-19 by over dramatizing the long term effects. Your life will be so much better when you realize this.

https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2015/12/10/9886152/donald-trump-fascism I'll admit to not being an expert of any kind of how to put people into political categories, but from everything I can read on Fascism, he simply doesn't fit the bill.
-
By what definition is Trump a fascist?
-
Policy wise you think Trump is further right than Bernie is left? He is literally a socialist?
-
I don't buy that a person who has been in the public eye all of his life and had never been accused of being alt-right or a white supremacist all of a sudden became a racist. He has condemned far right ideology on numerous occasions, but you won't see that part on CNN.
-
In terms of rhetoric Bernie and Trump may be political mirrors on their respective sides, but in terms of policy Bernie is much further left than Trump is right I think.
-
Yep, it was already an unfriendly state in my industry and this has made it nearly untenable for me and my family. Time to move on.
-
I’ve made significant strides towards leaving this state since this began. I no longer trust the leadership here and will be leaving as soon as I can.

Takeout is basically a break even proposition for most places. Alcohol sales and in person up charges is the only way to make it in the restaurant business
-
This is really naive thinking man, I’m sorry to say. A business can’t adapt with both hands tied behind its back.

In Minnesota, bars and restaurants were forced closed(take out only) on March 16th. They were allowed in an extremely limited capacity to re-open on June 10th. Closed Article: https://twincities.eater.com/2020/3/17/21183222/all-minnesota-bars-restaurants-ordered-closed-governor-tim-walz Opening article: https://patch.com/minnesota/southwestminneapolis/livestream-walz-announce-next-steps-minnesota-covid-19 To this day restaurants have limitation on them that make them significantly less profitable if profitable at all in many cases. Some of the best restaurants in the Minneapolis area have closed permanently. Edit: I should add, many restaurants chose not to stay open during the “take out only” phase because there is no money in take out for many fine dining establishments. People aren’t going to pay $80 for a filet at manny’s you have it taste like junk by the time they get it home.

I'm not sure how much you know about small businesses, but this is absolutely not the case. Most small businesses are just like most lower income households. They are just scraping by, especially restaurants, even the really successful ones. Being asked to close your business for months and then when you do come back having a capacity reduction mandated on you is a death sentence. I bartended in college and got to know our GM pretty well to the point where I was aware of the finances of the bar/restaurant. If we missed the revenue from one weekend a month we couldn't make ends meet. Just one weekend. Imagine closing for 2-3 months.
-
I suggest we do what we've done since the beginning of time. Isolate yourself if you are vulnerable and if you are actively sick stay out of public places and/or limit your exposure to others. Wash your hands, use good hygiene when coughing or sneezing. This is what we've always done and now we've come full circle on Covid too. We over-reacted on a massive scale and people's lives were ruined and/or stolen from them in cases of suicide and murder rates this year. It disgusts me that nobody will ever admit that and take responsibility for the destruction they've unleashed on our society.
-
So you admit we have garbage tests yet defend making life changing decisions based on the outcome of those tests?
-
And those closures have for the most part been drawn right on political lines. Obviously hurricanes and covid aren't a perfect analogy, but picture this: If you didn't watch the news in the last 6 months, there are parts, a lot of parts, of our country that wouldn't have any idea there is some sort of virus. Their lives, in some cases, have been devastated by something that never actually happened and wouldn't have happened. That's fear driven by a political agenda, nothing else.
-
A better analogue to Covid would be if a business in an area that isn't hit by a hurricane is forced to close and go bankrupt because a different area of the country is hit by a hurricane.
-
It's actually quite impressive the mental gymnastics that can be done to blame something on Trump these days.
-
Serious question as I’m curious, does this news open anyone’s minds to the possibility that there have been many such instances of false positives throughout this? And put the actual magnitude of this pandemic in question?
-
There is not one bit of evidence to suggest the WHO has a test that is better. WHO hasn’t exactly been a beacon of reliability and transparency through all of this.
-
You can’t seriously be blaming this on Trump. Are you? Come on. He’s done some things that aren’t ideal, but how can he be to blame for people developing a test that isn’t accurate?
-
I’m sure this is the first time, nothing to worry about.
