I am so angry right now words cannot describe it. Yesterday after I heard the details of the settlement I went to an establishment in Grand Forks. There just so happened to be a Native American working. He was wearing a shirt that said something to the tune of "Original Homeland Security since 1800 or so, and on that shirt there was a big picture of native warriors with their guns! Are you kidding me. Why can we not wear a symbol of the Native Americans and treat it with pride. When they go around flaunting terrible shirts like that. I also think that we should have no nickname at all. Be the University of North Dakota. That's it nothing more. Does anyone else think it would really cheese up the Ralph buy putting logos of another nickname on the walls and such when there are still logos of the Sioux imbedded in the floors. I think it would seriously look cheesy. Anyone else hear that retard Ed Schultz's rant on Ralph. I did and totally lost any little little respect I had for that Wishy washy Flaming Liberal! Long Live the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux!

So when and where are the protests to keep the sioux name today?

My best guess would be some sort of insurance the school has to take out if the cheerleaders are going to be on the ice. But then again that is just a pure guess.

A little off subject but does anyone know what was up with the cheerleaders at the game. I thought Buning got rid of the cheerleaders at hockey or did I miss something?

What I dont get is why it is ok for some of the schools in the NCAA to have native american nicknames and some not. They have made it pretty clear that they will fight UND because a very small group of people dont agree. Yet there is no way you can tell me that NOBODY has a problem with the Florida State Seminoles. They are giving certain schools special treatment and their day will come in court. Plus I totally agree with Redwing77 that some not all of the Native American Community really need to put the past behind them and look to the future and try to better their community instead of blaming their problems on everyone else. Other races have had worse luck than them yet moved on and for the most part stopped pointing fingers. Pointing fingers will get you nowhere. I dont appreciate being told that I'm responsible for all Native American problems and such when I personally have done nothing to Native Americans (remember I'm stating this on some Native Americans not all). We all really need to stop this and look to a brighter future instead of pointing things that happened to distant distant ancesstors.

Last I checked indians dont have to live on reservations.

I agree with most of what you said but still. I dont like the finger pointing at the "white people". it seems that is the only thing tribal leaders bring up now. And protesters coming to a university football game to protest a silly little logo. Rather than protesting things that matter. I agree there isnt much leadership anywhere nowadays but the tribal leaders and such are going to get nowhere blaming everyone else for their problems.

Not trying to start a race war or anything but at least the "white people" you refer to are trying to change the things that matter with troubled families. Not trying to push the blame at a university logo and saying that is the reason our youth is mislead.

Holy crap! I just about creamed my jeans when I saw the Senators jerseys. That dude on the front is lookin forward and it seriously gives me the creeps. But all in all I'd say I like the white's alot better than the darks for alot of teams and I do like the pinstripes going down the side of the some of the jerseys.

I totally agree that this is a worthless system. Ive gotten screwed out of tickets 2 years now cause the system has said something is wrong on my info or the constant refresh page has come up. And people selling their tickets right away is crap. Here im a student that would kill for season tickets is left out because theirs thousands of people trying to make a profit and this system jis makes it a whole lot easier on them. Going back to the original standing in line would eliminate the people like that for the most part. And I would have no problem sitting in line. Bring back the old system!

Read it again. I never said anything about D2 teams not being good. I stated that they got beat by an unranked D2 team. Which means that I dont think that there is much of a difference for the most part.

Before everyone gets exited about the bison winning their game against SFA....remember this. SFA is not a decent D1AA team. They lost to a D2 team pretty handly. They were on third stringers. SFA is a crappy football team. How many coaches consider beating a team like them at home a good victory? By saying this you are further proving that their isnt much difference in D2 and D1AA. So the bison can step down into the real world and realize that their schedule gets no harder than the UND's. So step off your high horses all you bison fans.

I hate to say hit of the year so early, but man ive never seen a guy as big as that 72 get hit that hard in person.And yet Stroup was still standing after that. I hope there's plenty more where that came from.

And while we are on this subject lets keep in mind last year was last year. The bison havent even played a game yet and yet their fans are still talking about how they would beat the sioux. At least the sioux can somewhat scale how good the team is because we have at least played a game. Get a life bison fans and quit holding on to the reality that the sioux beat you guys if im correct the last 4 years of our rivalry.

Yes i had the displeasure of watching the bison last year. on the other hand, d-bag in fargo from what he has stated on the website is all hearsay.

Well i guess well have to leave that up to imagination since the bison are to afraid to play the sioux.

Who else stuck around to see the Bobby Stroup hit on that punt return at the start of the fourth quarter i think? That kid is a straight up animal.

And you continue to do what every Bison fan does and still envy the sioux enough to try come and focus on what the sioux are doing every waking moment and not your own team.
