tech and st cloud tied... that's definitely good for us. with a w tonight, that'd put us more points ahead of scsu. let's get it going sioux. start taking names.

scsu has still lost (hopefully with a tech win tonight) 3 of their last 4 to some traditional bottom feeders. it's just disappointing UND didnt start the swoon for them.

mankato just beat wisco 7-3. mankato with four awesome straight wins. i just hope we don't play them in the first round of the playoffs.

i'm at work and i was actually away from my desk and working, but i was still able to hear it. i went over to my desk and updated siouxsports and suddenly on the radio they scored the 1st goal. then two minutes ago i was away from my desk, just came over and updated and two seconds later chorney scores. i'll be back in about 30 seconds.

so what you're saying is that because of paukovich's past, he deserves everything he gets until he can't play hockey anymore? how does that make anything better? does matt greene deserve to be hacked and cheapshotted until he can't play anymore, because he got a dui? he was putting hundreds of people's lives at risk when he drove the car drunk. or does that not count because it wasn't on the ice? well then what about the full speed elbow to the head of the scsu player a couple years ago. surely, an elbow to your head could put that persons life at risk... so should matt be pummeled until he can't play? all i'm saying is that the paukovich stuff needs to be let go. he's a kid. he makes mistakes. he's made some cheap shots on the ice, but how long will the retaliating go on for? how long is it ok to rack him in the balls for?

talking to the hearld reporter... he said it's the same deal as last night. he didn't know that cities outside of gf got the game, so he assumes that we'll be able to get it tonight in fargo and other fssn areas too.

from what i've heard, the game will be on the fighting sioux sports network again tonight. that means, anywhere in fargo should be able to get it. if it's not on fssn, then go to buffalo wild wings or playmakers. they'll have it.. just ask them to tune into fox sports net rocky mountain or fox college sports-central.

quick update from what i've heard from a reliable source: sioux are looking to bring in darcy zajac next year to keep travis here at least a year. sioux are fighting for theissen really hard. sioux would be willing to bring him in next year if jpar goes pro. jordan willert has been talking to UND a lot and it seems like UND is his front runner. jake marto could be asked to stay in the ushl for one more year, because even if smaby goes pro, with chay genoway coming and bina probably coming back, the d would be full. even alexander may not get much playing time. sioux and mankato are the two schools going hardest for marvin. rumors have it he's leaning towards UND.

i'd imagine it's because you dont want to start teaching kids to be stabbing at pucks that are high. despite helmets, you can still get caught across the neck, or the stick could get up under the facemask.

I guess you and I have a different view of who is cheap and dirty in the league. CC, UMD, Tech, and AA are all relatively clean teams. For the most part, Wisconsin is a clean team... and as much as it pains me, except for a few players, the Gophers are a clean team. There's a difference between being a dirty team and just being a rival. I think most fans (sioux and otherwise) are able to separate the two. I hate the Gophers a ton, but they don't go out there and goon it up. SCSU, Mankato, and Denver are some of the teams who you can guarantee it will get chippy. I want all fans around the league to know that if you go to UND, you're not going to get cheap shotted all game, you're not going to have some of your players go down because of prpich taking a swipe at you. I want them to know that if you go to UND, your players are going to get hurt because of the types of hitting we saw last year. Hard hitting, in your face, but clean is the way UND has always been. Let's not become a DU, Mankato or St. Cloud.

The shot by Prpich didn't make Paukovich think twice about cheaping another Sioux player. He took out Oshie AFTER prpich tapped him. For all we know maybe Paukovich was "retaliating" for Prpich's hit by taking out Oshie. It's a never ending cycle... unless it stops now. Paukovich is a cheap player, but let's let the league (hopefully they can handle it) take care of him and his cheapness, rather than lose one of our good players.

the w for UND puts the sioux into 11th in the pwr. denver drops to 16 and is still out of the playoffs. win tomorrow night and we're in excellent position to make the ncaas.

I agree it wasn't that hard of a spear, but it's a spear none-the less. And in no way am I comparing it to the hit on Bina. But are Sioux fans going to continue to want retaliation for the infamous hit until Paukovich is in a wheelchair?

I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with me, but I think the spear by Prpich was cheap, unneccessary, and he should be benched by Hakstol for tomorrow night's game. I hate paukovich and denver as much as the next guy, but there is no need for that. Just like paukovich's hit on bina looked bad on all of DU (im not comparing the actual damage each caused), things like this look badly on all of UND. I'd love to see Paikovich get his, but it's gotta be legal. Let Smaby or Finley grop him with an amazing open-ice hit, but Prpich made an unnecessary, dumb play. Do people agree or do people hate Paukovich so much that they don't care how it happens?

toews with a oshie-esque delay, waited for mannino to go down and then slid it by him. 5-2 sioux... great to see the offense and defense playing together well, especially heading into march. keep it up boys.

i agree w/ tv announcers in that kaip deserved a 2 min there too, but the du guy should have gotten 4 in that case.

looked like a little crosscheck right before the whistle... but the du player exploded on kaip.
