All I know is that the Minnesota's Angels on Ice have had the Final Five in their own backyard 9 times in the past 10 years and made the title game exactly 4 times, winning it in 2003 and 2004, but losing in 1997 and 2002.
By contrast, North Dakota has now been in the title game in 1997 (win), 1998 (loss @ Bradley Center), 2000 (win), 2001 (loss), and 2004 (loss). It's time to make it 3-3 in championship games since 1997 as well as avenge that 2001 heartbreaker to SCSU.
can't believe that nobody has posted about the nice coincidences of what else happened those 2 years we won the broadmoor (97 and 00). perhaps a win tonight could be the official spark to another something special.

A more interesting stat would be the percentage of goals teams score on their respective power plays vs non power play goals.
This is not a Sioux vs Gopher thing. There are 10 teams in this league and it does every one of them injustice having incompetent refs. It is much better to have a non call than a wrong call.

I don't recall Prpich being afraid to fight anyone. He runs his mouth, and does it well, as he gets under virtually everyone's skin, but he's not afraid to throw if he has to.
also, prpich doesn't dive everytime someone touches him. earl had 3 dives his game, and wisco fans can't believe other fans believe he's a diver.

wow, right after sioux game the ccha semifinal is on
northern michigan was up 2-0, but miami scored 3 to take the lead. we want miami to win, because everytime they do, we get more in the pwr.
ps, we want michigan state to lose both games this weekend.

i'm pretty much exhausted... that was probably the most tense i have ever been during a sioux game since the 2001 championship game.

also, the wisco pressure is helping create offensive pressure for the sioux.

the positive thing is that the sioux prevent defense is actually working really well.

everytime the sioux break out, they end up being offsides.
they aren't dump/chasing anymore, they're just trying to bring it in by themselves.
perhaps the lack of shots on elliott will make him rusty when we finally get a good one on him.

before stafford went down with the injury, his last 4-5 games he was incredible with the puck. he was honestly the best player on the ice at any moment of the game. when the game started and oshie was dominating and make great moves with the puck, i thought he reminded me a ton of the stafford of the past month.
nothing against the blues, but i wish he was going to new jersey, so i could root for him and many other sioux players. we should work out an agreement with the devils and shattack, so we get all the best shattak players and all the best sioux players get drafted by nj.

it's different that your basketball comparison. here's how i've always explained it and i don't find it a bit wierd that both are called:
earl is coming down the middle, finley gets his stick between earl's legs and trips earl. however, while starting to go down, earl completely flops and overexaggerates to get the call. finley tripped earl in the first place, so that call is good, but earl trying to over-dramatize it also should get called. if you do something over the top to try and make the infraction stand out more, some refs would call both.
