  1. is the cc game webcast anywhere?
  2. cornell scores with 3 left in the 2nd, 2-1 cc bc scores shorthanded to go up 3-0 in the 2nd.
  3. bc scores again, 2-0... 11 min left in the 2nd cc is up 2-0 with 12 min left in 2nd.
  4. a great goalie on an offensively average team (wisco) usually wins more games in the playoffs than an offensively good team with an average goalie (gophers).
  5. i don't know if this matters, but i watched miracle before the gophers game.
  6. this video feed is really good for an internet feed. i've got it blown up onto my tv and it looks excellent still.
  7. the coaches told lapoint he has the option of coming in next year, but he said he wants to wait til 07.

    Stafford

good article by brad, Stafford Will play
  9. zajac may not be the point getter that a lot of people envisioned, but i can't argue with the fact that he is the best forward on the ice during the playoffs.
  10. whoa... if youre saying that miller light is better than bud light, then i guess i'll buy you all the crappy miller light at that ndsu playoff game next year.
  11. big difference is that there wasnt an nhl the year after zach signed. new jersey had to send him to the ahl.
  12. i'm just saying if the competition is that much better... what was stopping the almight ndsu from winning a national championshp recently? it's gotta be tough knowing that since the #1 sport at ndsu won a championship, UND has won two in their #1 sport and another one in the #2 sport. seems like bohl realizes that ndsu has already taken a back seat to UND hockey. anybody notice that nobody from UND is comparing the popularity of the two sports? it's like miller lite commercials v bud light commercials... as the #2 beer, a lot of miller light's commercials compare it with bud light, but almost all of bud light commericals make no mention of miller light.
  13. i agree that the state of d2 football has declined... but that never stopped the bison from not winning recent championships.
  14. talking to a person in the know, it sounds like clay matvick will be in the arena to do some type of color/playbyplay. he normally doesn't do the gophers games, so i don't think mazacco and woog will be there.
  15. that's not really an "original forum" stat. it was in the UND press release sent out by the Athletic Dept.
  16. Notre Dame isn't the Fighting Leprechauns, they're the Fighting Irish. However, I guess if you're asking when was the last time you saw a leprechauns... well when was the last time you saw a real living Fighting Sioux Cartoon. If the Sioux Logo represents real people, then why doesn't the Fighting Irish Logo represent real people. Both are cartoon drawings and not real pictures of a Native American or Irish American. As usual, the double standard just walks itself out into the open and everyone but GK and the NCAA can see it.
  17. tampa wanted him bad after last year. it doesn't really have as much to do with the coach as with the front office wanting to get him in their system.
  18. this team reminds me of teams in the past when they hit the playoffs. after a goal, a lot of teams act like they've been there before and thats fine... but i want to see guys acting like they just won the national championship after every goal. that excitement has to get contagious and other players can just feel the excitement and energy. i love see our guys smiling and really getting into it during the playoffs. it helps take some of the pressure off of being a fan. thanks again pcm (ps, did you hear about kenny's dog tags in las vegas two weekends ago? pretty special.)
  19. teams have until august after a player graduates to sign them. this could be incentive for 1) a player to stay all 4 years and 2) get onto a better team or into a better system.
  20. you call me out for listing just two goaltenders, but then you ask if a 31 v 30 pick is that much better. i'd say a 65 v a 33 is a huge difference, but when you're within 10-15 picks, the skill level is most likely going to be the same. you know what else? taylor chorney played better than brian lee this year. brian lee is the #9 overall pick, chorney is a mid 2nd rounder. I think lee will have an easier time making an NHL lineup than Chorney. This has nothing to do with gophers/sioux... it has everything to do with knowing that when a team only gets one 1st rounder per year, they have a lot of stock in that player. they pay that person a lot of money and no team wants to have a 1st rounder sit in their ahl system and take all that money. potunly won't get 1st round money, even if he is better than a lot of 1st rounders. he'll get what most draft picks around him make, as bochenski did this year. he will be much more easily sent down, because there isnt a million dollar price tag around his neck. skill can you get into the nhl, but it takes much more effort from a low rounder to overcome the stigma of not having a lot of potential. however, i agree with you that on-ice perfomance can move a player up, like st. louis and others... but there are other players who are handed things (crosby) because they are taken so high and the team has a lot to lose.
  21. i meant steps on the ice on friday night... even if he is practicing, it still leaves a little doubt in mich's mind,
  22. i wonder how many people on this board will email her requesting a poster.
  23. the most important sioux head of the regional is the one right below the name on the front of the jerseys.
  24. he'll be day to day until he steps onto the ice. this gives the sioux the ability to make mich guess whether stafford will play or not. they'll have to prepare a little differently if he is in, but also be prepared in case he isnt.
