Connelly (USCHO) & Schlossman have the same projected brackets. I would agree with these. I think you can almost lock them in. Anybody planning on making the trip to Maryland Heights?

UMass & BU can't play each other in the first round.

At the time I would have never guessed we would be a 2 seed. I thought it was possible Omaha would get in as a 4 seed, which would have pushed us out of SF.

If the top seeds win tonight, UMass gets in ahead of CC. If That happens I have this same bracket with UMass replacing CC, and we'd be playing in Springfield. On a side note, I hope @scpa0305didn't head to Vegas with their kid's college fund to make that wager on UND in Sioux Falls.

Played us like Western Michigan a few weeks ago. The difference is Omaha has guys who can bury the puck. I expect we'll see the same style from anybody we match up with next weekend.

My fear is in this scenario they would keep bracket integrity as much as possible and send UND out East with UMass. Many of the Sioux Falls tickets have already been sold so I doubt they'd be that worried about attendance.

They tend to keep bracket integrity if they can, so they wouldn't necessarily put them with UND unless the layout of the brackets had them matched up naturally. (Example - UND is #4 & Denver is #5).

I am definitely hoping we can jump BU to get the 2 seed. There are no guaranteed wins but a regional semifinal against either the Atlantic or CCHA auto-bid would be ideal.

Same here. Felt like I was jinxing the team by attending. That 2016 win was a huge relief. The post-party across the street was insane.

Just saying .. no guarantee UND plays in Sioux Falls. UMass or Omaha could mess up our plans.

Omaha is the host of the Sioux Falls regional this year.

Seems like lots of fans are ready to write off this season after one horrible game. Here are some bad losses from our last 5 championship seasons: (2016) 6-1 St Cloud (2000) 7-2 Denver (1997) 8-3 CC 10-6 Minnesota (1987) 8-5 Mich Tech (1982) 9-0 Wisconsin (this one was in the WCHA tournament) Personally, I'm going to enjoy the rest of the season. This is still a very good team that has an excellent chance to land a #1 seed in the regionals and play in St. Paul for a chance to get 2 wins and hang #9. I have a feeling we will see a very different performance tonight.
