FOX College Sports announced that it's a terrific game so far "between North Dakota, THE FIGHTING SIOUX, and UNO"

We went for a long walk outside today and it helped a lot - 70's & sunny down here in balmy SD!

And franchise wrote: "Agreed. I was glad to read on Twitter that fans in the lobby of the hotel gave them a standing O. That was a helluva TEAM. " So glad to hear that fans showed their appreciation after the game in the hotel lobby! If we didn't live so far away, we'd for sure show up with flags and signs to welcome the team home at the airport and/or along the road. Hope this happens!!!

This game sure has the approx. 50 fans here at Starz in Sioux Falls riled up! Chris Samrau organized a group pic after the 1st period... said WDAZ &/or the Herald were interested in such...

Cool - We like that place! We'd hoped to be babysitting our grandkids while their parents go to Philly, but if not.... we'll see you at Starz !

Good memory: I was a full-time volunteer at "Sandbag Central" for two months before the 1997 flood. On March 29th, I occasionally stepped out of the oppressive noise in the building to check on the progress of the Frozen Four game. When we beat Boston 6-4, I got on the megaphone, asked the machines to shut down and announced the SIOUX NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP to all the weary workers. I swear the cheers that arose were as loud as all the machines - and it was great to see the smiles and extra energy on the floor the rest of the night!

Caggiula took a stick on the throat too - no call. Ferris took a roughing penalty on a subsequent play

Yup, you can see Mac's head snap back when the stick was thrust across the front of his neck for just a sec.... The ref doing the faceoff stepped in, but didn't call the penalty... It came from across the rink. Time to regroup and come out playing smart - neutralizing any dives and dirty plays from Ferris!

Not pretty, but successful PK Now let's spend some time on the other end of the rink!!! Sioux PP coming up....
