Correct...we need to focus on getting wins, not sawing Marvin in half. As for this thread, Hak is a good coach and will be here for a long time, which is fine by me. My concern is last night was the first time all year, I saw only a handful of guys "show up". There were a lot of passangers out on the ice last night. This is a young team that is obviously frustrated by the recent string of games and outcomes, but last night was the first time I started to wonder if Hak and his staff might be losing a few guys mentally. I'm not going to throw any player under the bus, but it was obvious that some guys didn't come to play last night.

They are the only team in our sights. My gut says we'll be making 2 trips to CC in a span of 2 weeks.

On the way back from Fargo last pm, was listening to the postgame with TH and his sidekick, Ole, I believe. At the very end Ole made reference in great detail to Kristo. Great skill and talent, but has not been able to fit in with WHOEVER he plays along side. Definitely doesn't feel he is the right fit with Trupp/Malone. Ole felt that Kristo needs to give the puck up more and more quickly than he does. Basically said Kristo is the key to getting this offensive on track and that he needs to play on a line where he can get/create more time and space for himself. Ole also referenced our goaltending play...getting a save when you need it the most and we don't seem to get that.

Well, since you watch a lot of sports, I guess we'll all defer to you. Having watched this years's team have you noticed any trends or streaks? How about the total inabilty to protect a 2 goal lead and nail down a win...just to name one. Or the "useless" fact that we have scored 4 (+) goals in 1 game out of the last 14! We have 4, count em, 4 weekends left...that's not the middle of the season/year. Bring some more irrelelvent stats from years gone by, that always helps when discussing the team of the present. Ummm...another 0-4 on the PP last night and 0-last 32...add that to your "useful facts". But just keep telling us we are now 6th in PP % in the WCHA and "we are due." Ummm...just got swept at home. Below .500 in the league and luckily thanks to UM losing still just 6th in the WCHA...but I know those are "useless facts".

I still think it's going to take 3 goals tonight to get us a point or 2.

No outrage, just tired of hearing "We are 0 for whatever on the PP but all that means is we are due." "We are statistically ranked (#) in this category." What does any of that have to do with wins or loses??? You seem to be pretty special at floating opinions and trival numbers around. So if we lose tonight, which is a possibility, and UM wins, which is a possibility and we drop to 7th in the WCHA...remember to tell everyone that's a useless fact as well. BTW the last time I looked the games in Dec. and Jan. counted the same in the standings as the games in Feb. and March. ALL those games lead to potentially getting some where in April. We are a .500 team in our own league. That's what we are...period. Do I feel this team has the potential to be there in April? Possibly. But you disregarding the obvious, our current record and place in the WCHA, as a "useless fact" is actually humerous. Goodness, spin only goes so far, but you are working it.

Yet another example of a meaningless stat. So that fact that we are 5th in the league in PP numbers masks that fact that we are 6th in league standings! Seems to me the latter fact is more relevent.

And they have only scored 4 goals, and 1 was an ENG, in the last 4 games and dropped nationally in offensive rankings!?!? This discussion of team rankings, GAA, how well we played, blal, blah, blah...is irrelevant if this team can't score and get a "W". If we wind up #5 nationally in defensive rankings and don't make the NCAA field, I will fail to see any relevance in that statistic.

Just about to head up I-29 for some fine dining at the Moon before the game. I think Frattin gets it going and UND roughs up the Pios defensively. Frattin x2 and Trupp. UND 3-2.

When you say "a lot", I assume you're saying the Foundation is more at fault in this mess than Joe? Please...

That is documented and reported as fact so to say Joe or his better/worse half didn't want this house done a certain way or on a certain time schedule is just flat out false.

Correct. The Alerus and it's finacial troubles are not because of UND FB. UND FB is one of the few money makers for that facility.

Agree that if UND gets 3 (+) goals each night, they'll get points in both games. Will that happen??? We are not exactly lighting it up.

IMO this series will come down to one thing...special teams. UND is 0-19 on the PP in their last 2 series. If we don't get any PP goals this weekend, we are going to be in trouble. We also can't take STUPID penalties...especially with bad timing. We have taken more penalties in the final 2 minutes of a period this year than any other year I can remember

Do you have children?? If you do, with that "reasoning" above, they are probably working you over! That comment above sounds like something you'd hear from an enabling parent.

Couple things I've taken from Hak's comments over the past couple weeks...1) He really likes Kristo on the Trupp line. 2) He likes Lammy centering the 4th line. I like what you got here but don't see it happening. I think our first 2 lines stay as is. Then I could see Zajac, Hexy and Toews. 4th line of Lammy, Knight and Rowney. I think Bruno and Cichy sit Friday if Knight and Hexy can go.

Whether there is evidence or e-mails or not, based on conversations with some in the Bison camp here in Fargo, there are some questions being raised about the "personal gain" issue whether valid or not. So this isn't just a UND mob out to tarnish Joe.

If true Hexy can/will play this weekend, I'll set the over/under being 15:15 of the 2nd period in Sat. game that Goerge goes absolutely nuts over something Hexy says or does! Totally agree on Chay. If he can't go this week, I think his last chance to get back into this season is at SCSU as well.

That is correct. They are under contract to caryy ALL UND home games this year.

I'llsay this again, a big financial booster at NDSU used the terms "delusional" and "corrupt" this AM when discussing Joe and this preceived oversight. If he has these feelings about Joe, I don't think for a minute he's in the minority of NDSU suppoters/boosters with these thoughts.

The gentleman I spoke about in my last post (#219) has met Joe and per his conversations about him seems to know him fairly well...again not amused with him even before he left SU. I can safely say I don't think he thought that Joe was all that you seem to think he was/is.
