UND FB desperately needed an infusion of some buzz and juice. Schmidt brought that to the fan base immediately. There's hope in the upcoming FB season. The Schmidt hire moved the needle. UND hockey, the flagship sport of the U, desperately needs an infusion of some buzz and juice. IMO Jackson won't provide that for a fan base that is tired of mediocrity and has become borderline apathetic. Would a Jackson hire move the needle? But at the end of the day winning cures all.
