Is it just me or has the overall QB play at the FCS level completely fallen off a cliff in the past few years? Credit to Miller as he made some great throws when needed but Gronowski was awful.....and he looked like Dan Marino compared to what I saw on both sides at the Alerus yesterday.

To your first point.....they don't. Not to the standard of a high end "FIFA certified" quality pitch ( soccer lingo) as some here are selling it. The fairways at Ray Richards are more playable and my neighbor mows his grass but still looks like an unattended vacant lot 90% of the time. To your 2nd point.....absolutely have no doubt that's a big part of it. Probably the biggest reason for the complaints.

Wanting grass vs what players prefer to play on are two different things. It's not complicated. UND doesn't have the resources to properly maintain a quality grass field. The least desired field to play on in the Summit is at UND. Least desired in the NSIC is MSUM. Both....grass.
