So what you are saying is that college hockey in general is down this year and that is who's fault?? You can only play and win the games that are on your schedule. Mankato must really suck because 3 consecutive sweeps in the WHCA is easy to do. And UND's sweep at Mankato was a given because Mankato sucks. The WCHA has 6 of the top 11 in the pairwise, but the WCHA sucks this year. You continue to drool all over yourself with these retarded comments. Give some teams some credit for what they are doing to win games. It has been well documented that scoring is down in the WCHA. Is that Duncan's fault? Or Oshie's? The goaltending in this league this year has been about as good night in and night out as I have seen...period. If CC is the only "good" team in the WCHA, then they and Michigan must be the only 2 "good" teams in the country?? Now is defense UND's strength?? At this point yes, but it seems to be that way for most WCHA teams. Why?? I don't have a definite answer but a few thoughts as to that. If UND is 8-0-1 in their last nine league games and again 6 of the top 11 teams are out of the WCHA, I would say regardless of what is perceived as "impressive" wins, UND has done basically all they can do in the 9 game stretch.

Did not listen to Puff today, but again I think if you are going to portray yourself as an "analyst", be some what credible with your "analysis". If you want to be a rube, fine. But don't try to come across from both angles within the same radio or TV segment. Someone referenced this earlier, but McFeely of the Forum tends to fit the same mold--"journalist" and rube. And anyone who reads the Forum knows he is not the most credible.

I take it yours did not go well? Sorry about getting this thread off track. "If you can make fun of yourself,..."

Anything on the Pios/Goofs??

Not bad at all. "It wasn't child birth" was what I heard. Only was on the DL for the Fri. UAA game. Played in a little pain on Saturday's UAA game. The up and down cheering was not probably the best therapy that Sat. night. By the way, still have some left over split pea soup if anyone is interested?

Nice to see that the university did not throw him under the bus. At 21, he is still young but mistakes have consequences. Kudos to DU for handling it fairly well from a public perspective. Maybe he can learn and move one.
-
Was worried I might look like that a couple weeks ago after the male "fix". Luckily, Hornbackers had a sale on frozen peas!!

Hugo Chavez is more supportive of the democratic process than anyone on the Standing Rock tribal council!

Live in Fargo as well and agree not every Bison fan is like this tool, but you need a spotting scope to them in town
-
Now that is just crazy talk but from what I have witnessed the last couple of series, spot on. We looked more confused and disorganized on the PP than a Britney Spears run daycare center.

And you know this how?? Are you Hak's barber?? I think the suspension is just. I think UND did the right thing by acting first. Kupchella hasn't pounded his chest like this since... ? Easy to make a stand as the door is about to close. And you can come out of your glass house any time you want.

The issue I have is that in whatever profession you are in, you need to be credible and reliable in your approach to the job/task at hand. There is no question that McFeeely, per his own print over the years, has some type of bias against UND. Now, was he far off on his piece today...not really. But as a "journalist", you have an obligation to get facts right every time. Guess work and biased opinions should not be the standard in "reporting". He occasionally has some good thoughts but tends to lose me with stretched facts and less than unbiased opinions.

But the Gophs could have easily taken 3 points and the Patriots could be the best NFL team ever !
-
Glad to see Charles found his onions just in time to move on with his life! Where was that testosterone when the nickname issue came up?
-
Living in Fargo now for 10+ years, there are few people I know in town who take McFeely as credible. He is a talking head who knows little about what he comments on for the most part. His print should really be in the ed-op section of the Forum. Have run into him on a couple of occasions in social settings and is one of those individuals who thinks he is all that and a bag of chips. If you don't tell him how good a "journalist" he is, he will at some point!!

My bad. Was explaining "chiasm" to a paitent prior to my jottings. I tend to do that at home as well.
-
And don't think for a second that the RPMs won't be in the red when the boys hit the ice vs. DU! Buckle up!!
-
Don't think for a second that Toews is thankful he is not playing in the WCHA anymore after watching the UAA series first hand and all the garbage that still goes on without a whistle being blown.

That seems to let Adam of the hook for a totally mismanaged game. You can point to this and that but the Sat. game was a result of the officiating or lack thereof--plain and simple.
-
That bothered me too. Tha fact that Adam called that with 2:03 left in OT is insane. After all the crap, by both teams, during the game Adam finally finds his stones and calls that?? Was it a penalty--yes, but again it goes back to trying to give the Gophs once last chance to salvage their season when all the other slashing, interference, grabbing was not called all night long. Thanks goodness for Wheeler!!
-
Nothing else needs to be said as that sums it up! The chiasm between the player's talent and the dismal officiating in the WCHA is widening. In recent years better skill is flooding WCHA teams but worsening officiating is holding that talent back. And from a fan's perspective, games are becoming harder to watch.

He was healthy coming into the weekend, but I guess the constant slashing and hacking can even wear down the best player on the ice!
