Kozek was out on the PP during the 2nd period. Considering that the Sioux were on the PP for like 9min during the 2nd period, they had to put some fresh bodies out there. Stalock made some good saves, but he was also extremely lucky on a couple. I can't recall a game where pucks seemed to just bounce over sticks or take funny bounces on rebounds like this. Or how about VV getting that wide open net to look at in the 3rd, only to have the puck roll off his stick... The Sioux came out flying in the 3rd, looked like they really wanted to get back in the game. It just wasn't our game, and Stalock played well, as did the UMD defenders at clearing out rebounds. Go Sioux, beat the BADgers!

That's how I see it going down as well. I would guess that VV will be the only early departure for the Sioux this offseason. Hopefully he leaves with a NC ring.

Key stat: The Gophers only have three sweeps all season. All three have come against SCSU. Not saying that the Gophers aren't looking better, but their games against SCSU probably aren't the best indicator at this point. It was just a few short games ago that this Gopher team gave up 6 goals to Tech, the lowest scoring team in the NCAA.
