Some intriguing matchups there, especially early. Very early test against a newly revamped UW squad. Tough home series against national runner-up UMN. Followed by a series against freshly depleted MSUM. And then followed by a road series against F4 team BU, which will have a stacked young squad with Celebrini. Not an easy non-conference schedule, so hopefully the boys can take care of business against Army, Wisco, Mankato, and Alaska...and hope for at least splits against BU and UMN.

Yeah the numbers are gonna be a bit crazy there. Check out this site that lists all their recruits... https://collegehockeyinc.com/commitments.php They have over 20 recruits listed for the next couple years, with many of them showing as coming this fall (I know those lists can be pretty far off for dates...for example it shows Celebrini as a 25/26 recruit, when he is going to BU this fall)...but either way, something is gonna have to give. It's like back in the Eaves days when they had 15 recruits lined up for each fall and then just cut 10 of them loose every fall.

Sounds like a few UW forwards might be leaving Wisco this off-season.

I'm thankful I never listen to any games on the radio. It'd be incredibly confusing listening to the radio announcers call the game if Persson and Pehrson were on the ice at the same time.

I saw those rumblings as well. He'd need to start accelerating pretty soon if he was going to do that, I'd think. With fall semester starting end of August, he'd still be 16 years old at the beginning of the school year. Granted, he'd turn 17 a couple days later, but still.

It'll be interesting to track him to see how he does in the B10. OSU had four senior Dmen, so they had some space for newcomers (not sure if any of those guys are using their extra year or not).

For D, I'd rather find a SO or JR in the portal. Even if Strathmann is delaying a year, that's still four FR D coming in...that'd be a big class to potentially replace in four years (in the unlikely circumstance that they all stay all four years). It'd be nice to start to balance the classes out a bit.

Speaking of Gophers...they should be pretty good next season too. Hinges a bit on the decisions of Cooley & Close, but they have the recruit Moore coming in...he's a stud. With how the UND team is shaping up, we'll know right away how we're looking in those early season games against UMN and BU (with Hutson and the insane talent Celebrini arriving).

We'll cross all those bridges when we get to them next season. Until then, I'm just impressed that Berry assembled this entire team within a couple weeks of the season ending.
