Is he injured? Or did he hit the portal to go from sitting in the stands at UND to sitting in the stands at SCSU?
-
I guess the refs didn't learn from the video about cutting down on embellishment that featured almost entirely UMD clips.
-
BU 2, VT 0 end of 1st Merrimack 2, BC 0 end of 1st (upset alert?) UMD 1, WMU 1 end of 1st Mich 3, MSU 0 nearing end of 1st...that could bump Mich back into the PWR hunt
-
Hell yeah that’d be sweet. He was such a loyal UND guy too. Remember his post here on SS.com after his last game thanking all the fans for their support? Class guy and total team player.
-
Looks good although they still need to move Strinden up in the lineup. He’s earned more playing time with his hustle and play. Glad that Ness is in with a regular shift.
-
As expected, Emerson back with the Steel in the USHL:
-
I wonder how much he would have lit up NCAA if he would have played. It probably would have been pretty fun to watch.

https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/first-place-is-on-the-line-in-und-st-cloud-state-series Berry says that Zmolek is healthy and will play and that Persson is back to 100%. The next two weekends could make or break UND's chances at lifting the Penrose...hopefully they come ready to play on Friday night!
-
Is Persson back to 100%? Will Zmolek be able to play? If both those answers are yes, then we have a better chance of having success this weekend. Will UND's streak of no regulation losses since Nov 3rd continue thru this weekend??

2023-24 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

UND will have their hands full. SCSU is a hard working team that can pounce on some of UND's recent defensive lapses. They're a better offensive team than CC and UNO, and UND only went 1-3 against those two teams. Hopefully Persson is back to his A game and the boys come to play!

https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-commit-e-j-emery-shines-at-all-american-prospect-game The commentators were raving about Emery's play. Swanson, Boisvert, Heil, and Laurila also played in the game.

Ha! I wouldn’t call this weekend a blizzard. The real karma payback will be when it’s 110°+ for two months straight this summer in AZ.
-
Yes agreed. Crazy how different their OOC and conference records are. 11-6-3 overall 7-1-2 NCHC 4-5-1 OOC (St Thomas, Mankato, Alaska, Michigan, Bemidji)
-
Updated PWR by league still has Hockey East with a good number, including the top 2 spots. I still think 1-2 of them might drop out as league play continues. HEA - 6 - BU 1, BC 2, Maine 6, Prov 9, UNH 11, UMass 14 B10 - 4 - MSU 3, UW 5, UMN 12, UM 15 ECAC - 2 - QU 4, Cornell 16 NCHC - 4 - UND 7, DU 8, WMU 10, SCSU 13 No teams from AHA or CCHA in top 16. Closest AHA team is RIT at 21 and highest CCHA team is MSUM at 28. So if the season ended today, at minimum both Cornell and Michigan would be out.

So glad to see Ness, James, and Strinden all rewarded with goals this weekend. Those boys were skating and providing energy every shift. James could have had multiple goals each night with his chances, glad he finally got one.
-
https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/hobie-hedquist-gets-the-win-saturday-but-ludvig-persson-is-still-unds-no-1-goalie Persson still #1 goalie according to Berry...they wanted to give him a rest after his lingering illness last weekend. I'd expect we see Persson again on Friday night.
-
Much better period especially at the end. Couple chances to extend the lead. Would’ve been nice if one of those had gone.
-
That was a lot of UND icings. I don’t recall any UNO icing that period.
-
Your whole row is empty except for Colin and I! For sure more empty seats compared to yesterday.
-
That's what I was hoping for after the Friday night CC game. Didn't really happen though. They need to start getting some wins in NCHC play if they want a shot at the league title.
-
What are the odds that UNO’s horrible PP found it’s way against UND? Pretty good I guess
-
I’d go James, Strinden, and Pyke.
-
Ha! Great sitting next to your group last night and thanks again for the tickets! Agreed on James. He was all over the ice last night. He could have had multiple goals.
