  1. I was definitely wrong about the Oshie not leaving, but out of every draft pick we have, I could not imagine Lee being more ready to leave than any other one. I don't think he would be best served by going to the AHL right now. (I don't think he has the handles and physicality for the NHL yet). I think JT will have trouble leaving now that the DOT line is going to happen next year if he stays. If he stays and plays next year he has a chance to solidify his spot in college hockey history and get that title on what's going to be a kickass team

    The TRAP

I can't say i've ever enjoyed watching a Wisconsin game
  3. I dont know how this is gonna work, I don't think they play 8 Dman do they? If we get two playable forwards and lets say Lee and Chorney stay, there is not gonna be any room.
  4. I think Sioux fans have been spoiled by the all the big bruising dman we've had in the past. I don't think ppl are used to the style Lee plays. That being said, I can see why ppl rip him at times. I can remember three or four very very costly turnovers this year, and dumb passes that led to rushes and goals. However, he has also shown flashes of the brilliance and great puck control. I don't know if we would want to lose that considering Chorney might be on the way out (granted I don't know much our incoming Dman recruits, and how well they will be prepared for the WCHA)
  5. How did this thing get started? When?
  6. When is the last time the Sioux have played Michigan or MSU in the regular season?

    BC / MSU

This is shocking, I have watched MSU play about five times this year, and every time I watched them they were the epitamy of mediocrity. Glad to see a talented, explosive, flopping bunch of Sally's (see "BC," "Golden Gophers," or " Men who have slumber parties and dye each other's hair") lose to MSU with 19 seconds left after they bounced the beloved Sioux.
  8. It's sad really, cuz I think we would've beat the S$%T outta the Michigan State Ballerinas. Still wondering how BC and Maine lost to them.
  9. Duncan definitely deserved this award. He contributed so much more than his sniping too. He did alot of PKing and played fearless all year.
  10. Didn't St. Louis trade most of their big time forwards before the trade deadline this year. I don't know what that means, but it prolly means some rebuilding, and I don't think they are gonna do that without their top prospect at forward. Toews is definitely gone, and I think Chorney will be as well. I think Lee will be a four year player. From what I saw of him this year, I wouldn't trust him defending the beer in my refridgerator half the time. He has the handles and passing when his head is in the game, but frequently this year that was not the case. He hasn't yet been able to slow down the game and play.
  11. I was wondering, does anyone know how Brian Lee can have a -1 on the season? That's amazing.
  12. Yeah those HE guys seemed like serious pussies, I wish the Sioux wouldve taken care of business like they are capable of doing. We had a hell of a run, and in a one game series, sometimes a WCHA team will lose to a team from an inferior conference. But we did get outplayed and I almost cried, but I'll get over it.
  13. I thought even though we got outshot so badly going into the 3rd period, I thought overall our oppurtunities were good enough to make up the difference. The thing I noticed was the lack of finishing checks like we normally do. Watching the Sioux play during the WCHA playoffs, every check was pounding and was finished. Tonight, I didn't see that same physicality and hustle, especially on the PK. When my brother and I were watching, BC took six shots on a PP and the puck was out of the zone in the final 20 seconds of the PP, only because a BC defenseman plum mishandled a pass. Also, on the goal that made it 4-3, how does someone sneak in for such a point blank shot. That was amazing, and I think if we couldve killed that penalty, we would have won that game.
  14. I also like Colonels, Generals, Bombers, Minuteman, ect--something unique
  15. Yuck, blue and yellow colors for the cavalry, then we will have as ugly uniforms as the Bison's s%*# green and piss yellow. How bout the North Dakota Sodbusters
  16. average liberal drool, poor-me story. The part about not getting special race-based scholarships is laughable. The Native American studies program should be abolished the same day the nickname is gone. I'm sure UND could find a much better way to allocate precious resources.
  17. BC and Maine are two scary teams that are always playing their best. Boyle for BC back on D is a scary situation because he gives them a completely dynamic look. Ben Bishop has been taking over games lately. MSU is worse than Michigan, and they are lucky they had to go thru the CCHA to get into the Frozen Four. The WCHA and HEA are by far the best conferences in the country, the CCHA can't compete. Physicality and not taking stupid penalties while not giving the breaks we gave MN in the F5 will be the key. Also, we can't have Lammy playing like he did in the Michigan game bcuz our potential opponents' goalies will not be letting in any softies.
  18. Authentic Black Sioux Jersey, Leinie's Honeyweiss, Sioux hockey puck in my left pocket, and a dip of Grizzly Wintergreen in my lip Got my black sioux jersey and puck at Christmas and they haven't hardly lost since.
  19. Massachusetts over Clarkson is a good bet for a #4 taking out a #1. I see Clarkson being a very weak seed, considering they really haven't played anyone this year. St. Lawrence seems to be a very weak #3 also. Unless teams are in the WCHA and HEA, i don't see them having much experience against the best competition
  20. gonna be tough get more than 3 if another line doesn't find a way to score
