  1. I hope someone records this and puts it on YouTube in case I forget to watch it.
  2. Jonny Toews had a kid already and he's coming to UND? One can only hope...
  3. No, you have the hit thing backwards. You do all the hitting, I do all the scoring.
  4. With similar outcomes in the forecast, right weatherman?
  5. No offense to the city of Phoenix, but the Coyotes need to get out of there. Sure, they sell some tickets when they are doing good, but they need a city that will support them a little better during the rougher years. Wherever that takes them, I don't know and don't really care, but the franchise deserves better. The nice thing about Phoenix is the decent sized population that moved there from the north, and are hockey fans. The problem though is that the people that may have moved there and are hockey fans already have an allegiance with their original favorite. That's why you see so many Packers and Vikings fans in AZ when you see the two teams travel to Phoenix.
  6. I can't say I've seen 'em all, but they are most definitely the best I've seen.
  7. If you do some research you'll find that nearly all bigger D1 schools have some sort of club hockey. That includes ACC, SEC, Big 12, and Pac 10 schools...regions where hockey is not very prominent.
  8. Syracuse is a name that caught my eye because a couple years ago they already said they were committed to adding D1 hockey. It might have fallen through because I haven't heard much since, but that wasn't a rumor, that was straight from the school. Now, with the possible move to the Big Ten, that may come to fruition again.
  9. Oh, is that why a PS3 is near the top of your shopping list.
  10. Must have been the joke to end all jokes
  11. PS3 FTW
  12. The orange one is a hybrid of: +
  13. Can't they say "Let's Get Hyper" then and not "Let's Get Crunk"?
  14. Well, Heinz Field meant Sidney Crosby, and then I instantly thought it would be against the Capitals...or 2nd choice being Philly. Sure enough, Ovie and the Caps are heading to Pittsburgh.
  15. Well, to answer the question, it's Mark MacMillan of the BCHL. He was the 2nd leading scorer in the league as a Rookie.
  16. So, I completely forgot that the auctions ended today...which is why I think it was really dumb for them to go on as long as they did, because I'm sure I'm not the only one that forgot, which means money lost for UND. Anyways... I was hoping to maybe work out a trade for either the white Watkins game-worn or the white Miller game-worn. 30 of my 31 jerseys are up for trade for either of them, so PM me if you would be interested in at least hearing what possible deal we could work out. Thanks
  17. New Orleans is a long way from Grand Forks. ("Toto, I've a feeling we aren't in Kansas anymore") Please keep the crunk out of REA...forever.
  18. I don't remember the 2008 game in Denver being poor officiating...although i could have been completely stunned out of focus. The 2007 game had some sketchy calls, but in the end, they scored a lot of goals either way. Refs didn't make up the difference in the 2008 game when we lose 6-1 for sure. Lammy made that great "cartwheel" save in 2007, but all-in-all, it wasn't a great game for him. It got even worse the next year.
  19. Yeah, those assless chaps are backwards.
  20. No doubt. BC was darn good though, and our defense/goaltending didn't play good enough in any of our recent BC failures. If we held them to even 3 goals in '06 or '07, we win.
  21. Trying like heck to find a couple Blackhawks SCF tickets for around $200 per or less. If I wait a few more days, I think I have a chance, and will almost certainly be game 2 and not game 1. Cross your fingers!
  22. Don't jinx it bro. *crosses fingers* PS, Toews can have my babies one day.
  23. I agree with what you said AZ. Eids has been better than many believe he has been. People have expected him to be a wall coming in as a starting freshman, and he has done nothing to show he is not our guy. But, like you said, he needs to take that next step, and I think he's ready to do just that. With each passing season, the puck should get slower and slower for him. Also, I agree about Trupp. The nice thing about Evan is though, even if he isn't scoring, he's always a huge factor. He's such a pest in the neutral zone and on the PK, and he's defensively reliable. When he adds points on top of that, even better. He has shown he can be an offensive factor, but he needs a few more goals this year. Lastly, I know Frattin won't wear a letter because of his history, but I'd love to see him take on a big leadership role and get the guys to understand what he learned while away from the team...that college hockey is "it". It's the best time of your life, and the time flies by and you'll regret it when you're gone. Give it all you've got and take home the coveted title while you have that chance.
  24. Shouldn't be an issue this year, I hear Mariucci is adding padding throughout the rink for this coming season. If successful, it will be a mainstay for years to come and will potentially change the way hockey is played at every level.
  25. I always had the "You have to beat the best to be the best" mentality, so bring 'em on. If we lose, we weren't the better team. For some reason, I have a feeling this coming season will be a bit of a disappointment to many. To be honest, I'm still not seeing the scoring punch we drastically needed this past season. Having Chay back will be a plus, but the freshmen, no matter how talented, are still freshmen and won't be the world beaters we all hope they'd be. Gregoire, Kristo, etc....despite how awesome they've been, they need to pick it up another notch yet. We need a "go to" line that consistently is a threat every time they are on the ice.
