Sign for the Regionals (and FF, when the time comes!): "North Dakota Runs On Duncan" -- have it set up like the Dunkin' Donuts' ad ("America Runs on Dunkin"): http://www.hhcc.com/wp-content/uploads/200.../ICONS-AROD.gif

BU is a beatable team. Don't get me wrong, they are a very good team but like all teams they have their issues. 1) BU tends to play down to their competition. They have only played one top ten team since February and that series ended with both games in a tie. 2) To have any chance of beating BU, the opposing team must score on their power play. 3) However, you can

BU Scores Short handed!

I was at the game last night. Northeastern looked pretty good. Certainly better than their Beanpot showing.
-
Game note: Northeastern is the only team in the nation that has not lost consecutive games.

Harvard was chasing the Sioux all night. The Crimson started the third by out playing the Sioux with no results and I think this frustrated them more. But what I really believe set things in motion was the 10th goal. When Zach Jones scored the Sioux bench erupted in cheers. UND was cheering for Zach scoring his first goal. I think Harvard interpreted the cheering as taunting; not understanding what was going on, and 20 seconds later the fight broke out. After the fight there were hits by Harvard that seemed to have the statement of trying to hurt someone, including the boarding call late in the third. I thought it was very close to hitting from behind. Harvard was embarrassed last night and I am sure they will be a different team tonight. You check out some pictures from last night on my blog including two of the fight. Under Review

I just got back from the game. All I can say is it was just horrible. BU played like they are in mid season form and the Sioux looked

Well I guess it would depend on your definition of a slow start. For example last year for the first five games BU went 0-4-1 the Sioux went 3-1-1. I guess I would rather have a Sioux slow start vs. a BU slow start.

I believe the Sioux can beat BU. First BU is notorious for a slow start to the season. In addition with the departure of MacArthur and Ewing they will need to make up 88 points not to mention, they both were significant goal scorers on BU

Actually Agganis is a great venue. It opened in 2005 and like the opening of the Ralph; BU

Below is a copy of a post I made last year on the Ralph. I love the Sioux but I will have to say I have been very disappointed with the atmosphere in the REA. Because I live in Boston, I follow Hockey East as a season ticket holder to BU. I go to every BU game dressed in SIOUX. Each year I make a pilgrimage to the REA to watch the Sioux play and I have to say each year I get more disappointed. The atmosphere in the Ralph can be at times like be like watching a Chess match with tons of commercials. When I compare the two, the crowd at the Agganis is twice as loud ( it

Personally, I would suggest staying closer to the downtown area. There is more to do and see. Faneuil Hall, North End, Back bay etc. You can always take the T (green line) to Agganis, it drops you off right in front. T

Lets not forget it may be conflicting with the RED SOX playoff schedule........

I am proud of the Team. It is hard to take reading some of the negative comments. I'm staying at the same hotel as the Team and it was heart breaking to see the team leaving to go back to Grand Forks after the game. I had a chance to talk with Coach Eades this morning and he was very thankful for the support the team has been receiving from the fans in Denver. Win or lose I will support this team and cheer them on! That is what being a fan is all about. I live in Boston and will be flying home tomorrow with the BC fans and I will be proudly wearing my SIOUX jersey. Like I said to Coach Eades I am already looking forward to the SIOUX attending the "ICE Breaker" in Boston next season. GO SIOUX!!!!!!

The following was an article in today's Boston Globe. The two Sioux fans were Sioux Fan in Boston and me. The BC Fans were great with some banter going between us. It was funny!!!! Go Sioux!!!!!! The Boston Globe April 10, 2008 Charter club North Dakota fans work extra hard to support their team. A chartered airplane will bring fans here this morning. For those who can't get to Colorado, the Sioux are hosting what they call the world's largest viewing party at Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, N.D. In conjunction with the 2008 World Curling Championships, currently going on at the rink, North Dakota will offer music, food, beverages, and large video screens in the 30,000-square-foot Broken Broom lounge in the REA Olympic Arena. After acknowledging the fervor of UND fans, head coach Dave Hakstol said, "There's only one place I'd rather be - here." More evidence: On an early morning flight from Boston to Denver yesterday, lots of travelers were BC fans headed to the Frozen Four, decked out in BC hats and sweat shirts. But two North Dakota fans found their way onto the plane and no one could miss them; they were already wearing the bright green Sioux game jerseys. Growth experience The Sioux have embraced a twist on the traditional "playoff beard" grown by many athletes in the postseason for luck. The North Dakota players have chosen to go with moustaches, giving them something of an '80s look. "We've gone with the beards the last few years and it hasn't quite got us over the hump," said Taylor Chorney, whose Sioux have lost to Boston College in the semifinals for two consecutive years, "so this year we decided to try something new and go with the moustaches." Apparently some fathers, who wore those moustaches in the '80s in earnest, have joined in. "My coach, Cary Eades, he rocks the moustache," Chorney said. "My dad, too." Marc Chorney was a defenseman for North Dakota's 1980 national champions. "Some of us aren't as fortunate to be able to contribute to this," said goalie Jean-Philippe Lamoureux, whose moustache is a wispy thing. "It's something fun, it kind of brings the guys together. Keeps everyone loose." "It's pretty nonexistent," T.J. Oshie said of his moustache. "And that's three weeks' growth," Chorney cracked.
