So I think someone may have brought it up somewhere else, but we do have a common opponent in Northern Colorado that Zona beat early in the year by 16 and UND beat by 10 and 3. Additionally, both UND and Arizona played Cal State Bakersfield, who Arizona beat by 10 and UND beat by 2. I hate comparable scoring, but this gives me a little bit of hope that we can play with these guys. As with everyone, their bigs scare me and we'll need to be shooting the lights out to keep it close. EDIT: It should also be noted that Allonzo Trier didn't play in those early season games.......

Hmmm....lost to a 15 seed in Salt Lake City you say.....

Looks like UND and SDSU will be the 15 and 16 in the last region. -

So two with lower RPIs than UND are 15 seeds. Hopefully that bodes well for the Hawks. -
Sioux Falls is a huge basketball town, so even though SDSU/USD get really good attendance numbers I think that just based on the city the tourney would have decent attendance without.

Well I got the email last night. Echoed certain things that Teeder said. Said physically the ones that stood out to him were Cloyd, JJ, and Mason Bennett. JJ hits the hole hard and runs angry - really reminded him of Tyler Roehl. Also thought that Ray Haas was pretty impressive physically and thinks he can do some big things. As noted before Wanzek and Toivonen were both bigger, and Baukol was heard saying that they really hit the weights after the season was over and are around 207 and 217, respectively now. The OL is a concern as we don't have the look of a dominant offensive line that we need to in order to fully utilize our stable of backs. Again, as Teeder noted, Blair is still lean (though he does look like he's gotten bigger) but his technique is very impressive. Said for the RS Freshmen Mortel really stood out, and Nathan Nguon also looked fairly impressive. Hopefully by next fall we're feeling a little better about the OL, but wouldn't hurt to get a post spring FBS drop down or similar to really help with depth. The three other QBs were, in his words, less than impressive. Sounds like Heidlebaugh still has a very slow release. Zimmerman was off target a lot and looked confused (which I guess was to be expected, and noted by Teeder). Bolinski still looks very raw. I guess there is potential there, but nothing too exciting yet. DL is deep and very talented, so there really aren't any concerns there. Bennett is big and fast, and his legs are tree trunks. LBs were good - Lawrence and Haas stood out to him, as did Donnell Rodgers. But he didn't spend much time focusing on Jaxson Turner or Disterhaupt as he planned, as those two should be very in the mix with providing depth this year. DBs - safety still a concern opposite Reyes since Stewart is out, and CBs look pretty good. Holm looked to have put on a little weight while maintaining his speed, and Hunt still looks to be very athletic and just needs to pull together the mental part as he has the potential to be very good. Actually a bit of the theme with all those that played as true freshman last year is that they are noticeably thicker this Spring. Sounds like that is normal, though, as during the season the kids redshirting lift 4 days a week, whereas the ones playing only lift 2 days a week. Lastly, said he saw JoJo Henderson there and he really looks the part physically. I believe if he were to sign he is a 3 for 3 type kid, so we'd be able to utilize him as a Sophomore this year. That's my summary of what I was told. Sounds like we have a lot to be excited about

A buddy of mine at practice this morning is going to give a full report to me tomorrow, but for quick observations was impressed with JJ and McKinney, and said Ray Haas stood out at OLB.
-
Other than the undsports.com coverage, anyone else make it to practice today? The reports I'm most interested in hearing are about JJ, Zimmerman, McKinney, Dulin and the OL overall.

Jackson Enz was on a visit last weekend as well. Reminds me a bit of Studsrud with his size and running ability.

UND has an offer out in Montana, to WR Gabe Sulser. http://www.scout.com/player/215699-gabe-sulser/recruiting?year=2017 http://www.hudl.com/video/3/603572/58339c1e5b3cb12ef02daf36

JoJo Henderson was supposed to be on campus this weekend. Heard that a while ago so not sure if still happening, but as of a week after NSD he was scheduled to come here March 4th.
-
Funny. I don't really care if they offered him or didn't, but the folks that say he was offered by NDSU are fairly reliable sources....... Also saying they only offered JJ a PWO - I thought I heard they offered him some money although not sure how much.

Been mixing work in with keeping up to date on signings. Still waiting on Izzy and Hayden Blubaugh if I'm not mistaken (along with the aforementioned Kyle Heitpas signing on Friday).
-
SDSU, UNI, NDSU and Washington State.
-
Just a tweet from his school this morning that said he would be signing on Friday at 3:30 to attend UND.
-
Kyle Heitpas won't be signing until Friday I believe.
-
Just got a commitment from the Chicago area. Guessing it's Weichel.
-
We're okay this fall, but it would be nice to get someone in the program so we don't have a two year gap.
-
Tews committed to Nebraska Kearney today. He was a PWO offer.
-
While this is true, we won't have a true freshman or redshirt freshman running back on the roster, which worries me a bit. We've got a load of talent in the Soph/Jr classes, but nothing below.

I believe Nick Honerlaw may have committed.
