  1. They did actually show a replay right away on the big screen for this play (as they wanted to replay the fumble recovery), and he definitely pitched it forward. To the naked eye it did look like it was a bungled hand off, but it was the right call.
  2. This kid goes on a visit every weekend. I think I've seen him off to all sorts of different places every weekend. At least if he decides on UND he will have had a lot of information from which to make a decision. I believe he's a pretty solid kicker as well.
  3. Game worries me too, but I do trust the defense. I will be making it a day trip with my son. Worth the multiple hours in the car (I hope).

Unless SDSU or UND get a seed, I'd say it's about 95% that they get matched up in the first round. And the most likely result would be the winner going to Fargo. Would love to be matched up with a Western Illinois with the winner getting sent to Sam or out east - so we can play some other teams.....
  5. Also, already revving up the MVFC machine, as I've seen references that Illinois State is making their case to get in at 6-5 (UNI still has a shot to reach 6-5 as well).
  6. Too bad both USD and Stony Brook crapped the bed today, against mediocre teams.

  8. Cal Poly never gets any love in polls. Also, North Carolina A&T doesn't belong as high as they are.
  9. Not the ideal first half. Let's get this rolling in the second half.
  10. Long shot for Mafe indeed, but the fact he has the Gopher offer and is visiting helps me feel good that kids are seeing what we have to offer and taking notice. We need to load up on the OL and DB areas, and we definitely need another RB considering Secrest didn't make it this year (and McKinney is going to be our next burner at WR based on the current plan). Would also like another WR with decent speed that's a little taller. But I do like how this class is coming together - just need to spread the wealth around a bit
  11. There has to be something else going on. In the updated Herald article Kennedy is saying that this was a "once in a Kennedy tenure" type of decision, so he will not revisit it in the future. If that's the case, there has to be something else. Seems to me we're looking forward to mediocrity in most sports.
  12. You're not serious. Tell me you're not serious.......
  13. Yeah, I knew about his injury. But you're right about the fact he could still end up there. He would be tremendous for us.......
  14. Ott is a very good get. I didn't bother with him right away as I figured he'd end up at the U of M, but really glad we were able to get him. Heard he was in GF this weekend, so must have liked what he saw. I believe he had an offer from SDSU as well.

  16. And UNI remains.......don't get it. USD should be in there instead of them.
  17. If the line play improves like it has been, we should be able to get some running room even against a strong front 7. Studs needs to be on target to keep the D honest. Think we should be able to control them on defense too, but need to avoid the big plays. Should be a great game!
  18. I was up for the Potato Bowl, and everything I got that had the new logo on it was from Scheels. Bookstore had a lot more stuff that just said University of North Dakota, or had Fighting Hawks in word but not logo. So I grabbed a couple logo only t-shirts (Adidas), a logo only long sleeve tee (said North Dakota on the sleeve) and a logo hat - all at Scheels. Then got some plain University of North Dakota stuff at the bookstore.
  19. In all truth, I think that we would have a good shot at out-bidding Western Illinois, but likely wouldn't be able to outbid SDSU (if those are the two likely opponents we may be looking at). I would think that Faison would put in a fairly healthy bid, although with the budget issues who knows. A playoff win at home would be huge for the future.
  20. I'm pretty sure he's being recruited as a WR as well.
  21. Sounds like he should be making the trip.
  22. Sounds like Sac had around 500 yards of offense. They were slinging it pretty good at the end. DBs need to be ready next weekend.
  23. On to the next week. Watching the Bobcats @ Sac State game right now - assuming our line plays anywhere near how they did today we should be able to gain some yards and score some points. Their offense doesn't look too bad - run a little read option but they pass more than you would think out of it. Depending on the diagnosis on Santiago, hopefully they can hold him out next weekend and he is ready for SUU the following - although it's completely possible that he is out a little longer. I was really impressed with Gordon today, so Oliveira and Gordon will be a good 1-2 punch if Santiago's not ready to go. Really starting to get worried about the depth - likely will see Norberg get a few more carries next week as well. Really hope that Rooney is ready to go next week. The OL play was great today - Coe is a lot more comfortable out at RT and everything just seemed to gel this week. Onward and upward!
  24. Completely forgot about Rashad myself
