I love it when you trash talk.

I'm sure Fylling played more than one shift. I saw him out on the penalty kill a few times. However, I don't think the fourth line played much. It seemed like Hakstol was mostly rotating the fourth line players through the other lines to give players on the top three lines a bit of a breather.

There's a story on USCHO about Fabian, Hakstol and how the Sioux have rebounded to become the hottest team in the country.

You could be right. If the Sioux don't lose any defectors to the pros, they should be awesome offensively. Goaltending shouldn't be a problem. The only weak spot might be on defense.

Only those who deserve it get it. Tim Hennessy paid some nice compliments to Don Lucia in his post-game comments. He said Lucia did a heck of job getting the Gophers that far. I agree. Minnesota will be even better next season.

I think this is probably it. In a USCHO thread, someone said that Goligoski's injury was caused by a Sioux slash. Within a day or two, there was an article in one of the Twin Cities papers quoting Goligoski as saying that it happened when he banged his hand against the boards. The video of the play supports this.

Mannino gets the start against CC because he's undefeated against them this season.

I'm conflicted. Beating DU as payback for Robbie would be really nice. On the other hand, if the Sioux don't win it all, I'd hate to see DU skating with another NCAA trophy. That would give the Pioneers the same number of national championships as the Sioux. The only thing worse would be if the Gophers won another NCAA title. If the Sioux make the championship game, I'd rather play CC because A) we've beaten them this season and B) every game we've played has been decided by one goal. Right now, I'd rather see UND's offense against McElhinney and CC's defense. And I think shutting down CC's offense is easier than shutting down DU's.

I think it was something like this: We probably made a mistake by not recruiting Grant. Ryan probably made a mistake by not coming to UND. That's how I remember it.

That's what I'm hoping.
