That was a great first post. Every time I walk into to Englestad Arena for a game, I remind myself how lucky I am to watch a team like the Sioux in a building like the Ralph.

When a team beats you four times in a season, including the most important game of the season, I think you have to conclude that it's the better team. I don't think the Pioneers are significantly better than the Sioux in any one area, but they did win the WCHA regular season championship, the Final Five championship and the national title. I'd say that they're pretty damn good. I'm not putting down the Sioux in any way because they proved that they had real heart. A couple of bounces here or there and it could have been a totally different game. But ultimately, it's the score on the scoreboard that matters.

What we need right now is Hockey Mom to give us some comforting words. Or maybe some anti-DU trash talk. Either one works for me.

It would be great if you could post the projected arrival time here. Maybe I'll make a sign that says: Vaht?

Has anyone heard when the team is scheduled to arrive back in Grand Forks? Is anyone planning to go meet them? I was thinking about it. Who's with me?

I, too, want to congratulate the Fighting Sioux on a fine season. The way the team and the coaching staff came together at the end of the season was something I'll never forget. Thank you for perservering and making UND, Grand Forks and Sioux fans everywhere proud.

And then Gwoz wears a pink tie (or was it pastel lavender?) to the national championship game? I'm not sure about his fashion sense, but he has fashion courage.

Tough question to answer. Before the season started, I thought the Sioux had a chance to go all the way. However, given everything that's happened, the season ended far better than I expected.

I hate to admit it, but you're right. Put a healthy Brady Murray, Robbie Bina and Rylan Kaip on the Sioux team and it's a different story.
