Stein's right. Freund is getting happy feet, just like he did against UNO.

    UND v GVSU

GVSU is just ramming the ball down our throats and we can't do anything about it.

We're arm tackling again and they're running through them.

We need to stop them here and force a punt. We can't let them grind it out and hang on to the ball when we have the wind, but that's what's happening.

    Dang. Sioux have to punt.

We're starting to have some things work for us offensively. It's important that we get some points out of this drive with the wind.
  7. The plan that's been out for a long time was to connect the "bridge to nowhere" to another parking ramp on the east side of Columbia. Because of the parking problems on campus, that's going to happen regardless of whether a new stadium is built. The "bridge to nowhere" was always going somewhere, or it wouldn't have been built.
  8. Unfortunately, the roads are very icy right now. I heard on the radio that the I-29 between Fargo and Grand Forks is quite slippery. I hope it doesn't affect attendance too much.
  9. Anyone notice that in the other images, the current Fighting Sioux logo is gone? People are wearing the UND flame logo. Plus, football fans are attending games outdoors in shorts and T-shirts. I guess we should be prepared for global warming and life after the Fighting Sioux.
  10. Actually, she wrote a pretty good column in praise of Thanksgiving.
  11. I don't mind the french fry smell, but living on the north side, I know that it can sometimes be worse.
  12. And what, exactly, do American Crystal Sugar, Simplot and RDO Foods do for Grand Forks? Fill the air with perfume?
  13. How about the history of soldiers and settlers in Minnesota forcing the Sioux out of their homeland at gunpoint? Nick Coleman and James MacKenzie are obviously consumed with guilt about that, but I don't see them leading the charge to give the land they now live on back to the Sioux tribes it was stolen from. Perhaps I could take them more seriously if they proposed doing something meaningful rather than being obsessed with an empty symbolic gesture that will accomplish nothing and comes at someone else's expense.
  14. Yes, it was, assuming it happened as I've heard it told. But you'd have to look far and wide to find a Fighting Sioux fan who disagrees with you. So what's your point? More importantly, what's James McKenzie's point in dredging up something that occurred 35 years ago?
  15. This song is so b-b-b-b-bad!
  16. Get a load of the 70s cutting-edge video special effects. Great song, though.
  17. In this video, Black Oak's Jim Dandy Mangrum demonsrates the proper way to...umm...play the washboard. Yeah, that's what he's doing. Too bad he didn't get to do a solo.
  18. I heard the words "grit" and "gritty" tossed around a bit.
  19. Now this is rock n' roll.
  20. From the Green Mill, Tim Hennessy and Scott Swygman are the hosts with Sioux hockey coach Dave Hakstol. TH: It sure seems like it

    UND v GVSU

I accidentally posted this in the wrong thread. On tonight's UND coaches' show, Dale Lennon said Chappell and Murray are doing well in their rehab. They're not going to practice at all this week. There's reason for optimisim with both of them. They'll both make the trip. He said 24 hours can be a significant time in the recovery process. Right now, both seem to be doing well in the recovery process. He wouldn't say what the plan would be if neither one could play.

  23. That would be insensitive to the residents of Northwood.
  24. No, it's just a suggestion that you might want to consider if you want to be taken seriously.
