As far as football,yea it might be decades(it won't be decades) but it might be in four or five years too. UND will get their act together. that said - su is very tough in football. enjoy while you can. living in Fargo I know how much support football has. Many of su fans are even pretty cool about it. I am very happy UND won the bb game. It does matter to me. Judging on all the activity and comments from su fans it mattered to su as well. You can say it doesn't matter but you posting here shows it did bother you at least a little. So, you need to go back to 2010. that seems a little convenient. gotta admit that UND has done very well these past few years. even if you are willing to admit only that we are even since 2010 that is still pretty impressive for UND with the good guys getting more and more of the upper hand. There is excitement in what is happening at UND with many of the programs. I guess I am one that doesn't think UND is better except for maybe volleyball, womens and men's basketball, and probably soccer . su is no longer looking for UND in the rear view mirror - more like drivers window and front windshield

I am one those UND graduates living in Fargo. I welcome MIDCO with open arms. This probably means that CableOne will change their mind and broadcast more UND games next year. Win Win

I guess we will just have to wait to find out. I have heard from others that same type of opinion about how Jacobson will do. He is a hard worker and has a lot of pride. What you said could be said about most 1st year players. I think you are underestimating him but we'll see how things play out. Go Sioux

There is talk at su about redshirt AJ Jacobson. I have seen him play at least 50 times. He would be a driving draw the foul machine. I bet he would average 13-15 free throws a game. I am interested if he plays this year. I think Saul will feel a little pressured on this. I think su would be a better team because AJ is so good at going to the basket.

I honestly think that su will do just fine. They do have a good team. It appears the new hand checking memo wasn't read by su. They think that it was the difference even though the fouls were about even. Some su fans comfort themselves by saying the game doesn't matter to them but the number of upset su fans seem to tell the real story.

Had to wait for a while but Bisonville finally figured it out that it was UND's superbowl and that is why we won. Happens every time. The su boys just have a tough time giving UND a whole lot of credit. Lose to UND and you suck. I guess I shouldn't expect it..

Exactly all you have to do is go hard to the basket and refs are calling fouls. We are at our best when we are aggressive to the rim. Keep doing it and make free throws and we win.

Not surprised. Most don't know that UND has improved quite a bit this year. Besides, su is very good. Glad this game is in GF. Let's take advantage of it.

Let's win this thing. Make some free throws. Go hard to the basket and get su in foul trouble. Don't let Felt have too many open shots. Not have too many unforced turnovers. Looking forward to it.

I actually did buy a season ticket. Couldn't go wrong at $20 bucks. Was trying to figure out what the catch was. I have watched about 8-10 games through the Big Sky.

I went to my first UND volleyball game at the Betty last night. Fun atmosphere. Great place to watch a game. My kids went to Shanley - looking forward to watching a Shanley grad (Fraase) play for UND in a few years.

Both good teams. Should be a fun game to watch. By saying either one will win shouldn't mean that the other isn't any good. I say that the winner has about 78 points and wins by 5. Up to 15 lead changes with no team having a greater than 7 point advantage. UND makes a bunch of fouls shots at the end and wins!

I agree that Huff is capable and I hope he explodes again this year. But take into account he had a career high. Went back and looked at his season stats: 2011 44% from the field and 33% from 3 point 2012 40% from the field and 20% from 3 point 2013 45% from the field and 36% from 3 point Against Wisconsin 68% from the field and 67% from 3 point Huff isn't a great shooter. Huff can be a great scorer. Hopefully he has improved this year.

Obviously, the sooner we get a coach with credibility to convince current players and recruits to come and stay will make a big difference in how long it will take to turn this ship around. I assume it will be the better players and recruits that would consider leaving for greener pastures. Right now if I was a player and had the option of su or UND it wouldn't be UND.

Should be a close fun game to watch. I wouldn't bet on either team. I just don't know. They seem to be pretty close with a slight edge to su I don't see Huff going off again like that. Just wish UND had a scoring threat inside.

I would expect some recruits to go elsewhere and some players to transfer. Might be a bad couple of years. 3-8 might be optimistic for next year. Hopefully in 3 years we can be in that 7 to 8 win range.

Thinking of coming up for the vb game Saturday. Haven't ever been to one at UND. Then head to the fb game. Where do you park at the Betty?

I would like to see a women's volleyball section.

Seems pretty obvious to me that neither qb is ready at this point. Will take time. The qb situation has hurt both the offense and defense.

I would like to believe that the vast amount of players give the effort. That would mean to me that we just don't have enough talent (size, speed, strength, coaching etc) and we way overestimated how good we were going to be this year. Again, captain obvious - but it puts a different perspective for me. I never imagined that we would get blown out and not be competitive and it hurts. Maybe we just expected too much too soon? Maybe SU made it look too easy? I see our linemen being manhandled - I just gotta believe that they have too much pride to just let it happen and they are generally giving what they have??
