USCHO has us for commitments from Lynn Astrup, D, from Warroad, and Kara Tupa, F, from Fargo. I wouldn't anticipate many beyond that unless they are able to land someone with high-end talent. This team is incredibly young. Of the 20 players who have played 8 or more games this year, only Karvinen is a senior and there are 3 juniors. Idalski suits up 8 freshmen and 8 sophomores almost every night. Plus, Soph Leah Jensen is still out and has yet to play.

The refereeing wasn't one sided, it was balanced. However, the manner in which the game was called effectively canceled out any talent differences between the teams. Then it just came down to a slog fest. All credit to the Mavericks for continuing to grind and play to the tenor of the game.

I agree with you. The Boy's Class B should be in Bismarck. Unfortunately, it won't be for the forseeable future. They switched the Girls' and Boys' seasons because the start of the Girls' season was too close to the end of volleyball. The problem was this put the Boys' state tournament the same week as the Class A regionals. The Civic Center will not give up the WDA; hence, they won't even bid on the Boy's B tourney.
