Freije is from Edmore, Lakota-Edmore have a sports co-op. Both UND and NDSU have been at her games this year. I believe Brewster was in Minot just before xmas when LE played Ryan. I'm sure he was looking at both Freije and Stewart.

I was told it has nothing to do with how many people attend the Class B vs. the WDA and everything to do with how much money the Civic Center has to share with the NDHSAA. When all is said and done, they make more on the WDA. The Class B will be the last tournament again starting next year and, according to the NDHSAA website, is scheduled to be in Bismarck.

The Class B is a bigger event for the city of Bismarck as a whole. But for the Civic Center, the WDA is a bigger tournament. They make a lot more money on it. Just what I've been told, no inside knowledge.

Pretty big winter storm forecast for Duluth area tonight and tomorrow morning. We plan to take off very early tomorrow morning from GF and had hoped to get into town in time to watch USA/Canada. What are others' plans?

USCHO has us for commitments from Lynn Astrup, D, from Warroad, and Kara Tupa, F, from Fargo. I wouldn't anticipate many beyond that unless they are able to land someone with high-end talent. This team is incredibly young. Of the 20 players who have played 8 or more games this year, only Karvinen is a senior and there are 3 juniors. Idalski suits up 8 freshmen and 8 sophomores almost every night. Plus, Soph Leah Jensen is still out and has yet to play.
