  1. I believe it was F U Denver.
  2. I would agree with you. He also was constantly drinking out of the water bottle (way more than any other goalie I have seen). It did seem that he was always stretching, drinking, or clearing his head at every opportunity.
  3. Maybe it's just me, but since he put the name in quote marks, I think he already knew that.
  4. I agree. He gave up rebounds all weekend. You could tell he was upset about his play this weekend by taking that shot at Joe. He let his poor play get to him. While most of DU's goals were on odd man rushes, Mannino was beaten clean on deep zone shots. As I said before, I don't care if UND plays a badgering style game or if JPL has his moments of acting. You can't argue with the results.
  5. I think he will make a good showing. Nerves might get to him early but I think if he gets to play for a while, he will look pretty good.
  6. After looking at the fight again, I really wish the tv had caught the beginning. Nice to see Jones, Finley, and Genoway taking on the whole DU bench. It seemed very odd that basically the whole DU bench was still out while we only had the 3 players I mentioned before along with Kozek and another still on the ice. Its great to see the camera they have in the tunnel showing Radke turn around after he heard the crowd. Also great to see Trupp go nuts on some guys. Great night for the boys, got the sweep and Radke got his fight. Nice!
  7. He took them out on the condition that they give him the bananas from their banana splits.
  8. DL better tighten up on D in the third. I think they can get 2 but I don't think they can get 3 if they give one up.
  9. Prolly Miller if Zajac is in the lineup. Martens did good and I don't think you take out Radke or Malone. Which leaves Miller or Zajac out.
  10. Not alot of D being played in the North-DL game. 3-2 North in the 2nd.
  11. I also don't think he was happy that the fans started to throw more hats after they were all cleared.
  12. They are my favorite announcers to listen to. I remember watching us play in Denver a couple of years ago and was very impressed with them. Very neutral and it seemsedthey really liked watching the hockey game turn around last night, even as Denver was losing the grip.
  13. Who are people picking apart? The defense? Because the defense did not perform good in the 2nd night and I think they know it. They got better in the 3rd. I fail to see how pointing out some things that were weak in the game would be considered dumping on the team. Now when people constantly criticize 1 player, I can see your point. The same goes for people who think 1 specific player should be playing over another. But the people who are just pointing out that the D wasn't up to par last night are not picking apart the team.
  14. He is this year. He had a pretty bad game tonight but which D-man didn't (with the exception of G-way and Jones)? Seriously though, the D played horrible tonight and we still got a win. I think it had to do with the way Denver keeps a guy out at the line to break. I have never seen some many odd man rushes. They didn't have that many chances but they converted them all where as the Sioux left 2+ out there. This loss shouldreally hurt Denver and hopefully we give them the dagger tomorrow.
  15. I think I saw it was a 6-0 final.
  16. So is there going to be a chant about Trotter during the DU intros tonight? It would be a nice change of pace to get something going while they are introduced.
  17. Frattin
  18. They might move up but I don't see them staying there. If they won't finish in it, then they are of no use to us. I would rather have Mankato sweep this weekend and make solid their rankings since they go to UW and play CC and Tech yet. If AA somehow sneaks in, then thats great. I just don't see it though.
  19. Nothing wrong with that. I can see how flipping the bird might cause more people to see it it certain situations, like at a hockey game, where as cursing can only be heard by a few around the offender. I just think that most people watching it on tv in todays culture should know that the f word gets used by the coaches and others. So seeing the bird should be no difference that seeing him mouth the f word. It just confirmed what we thought. So I guess, for the tv part the bird might be more visible but I would rather have to deal with a gesture than words. Word are way harder to tune out because you can always look away from a gesture.
  20. I would disagree. Letting the bird fly at a person lets them know you are not happy with them. It does not for the most part affect anyone else. People can ignore a gesture that was not made at them if they happen to see it. However, cursing is something that affects others. They have to listen to it and deal with the questions it might pose. IMO, the bird is a way of showing some restraint instead of unleashing a string of F-bombs.
  21. Great post.
  22. I would. But then, I don't see how a finger can be obscene. It is only obscene because people continue to let it be. I don't think Hak should have been suspended but I think we are in capable hands.
  23. Me too. I am glad we are not playing at the Ralph this weekend. Nothing irritates me more than people cheering when the gophers/badgers are losing when a win would actually help us. Take some time to look at the standings. But hopefully DU gets swept and we can put them behind us for good.
  24. I think it had more to do with taking him out to avoid any cheapshots late in the game, like we did with JPl against Mankato last year. Or it could be to get the kid some ice time at home.
  25. Lucky we had a surplus of forwards.
