Yeah, but they might get in based on the fact that the nation sucks this year. ND and UW were in the top ten in the poll this week. Say what? There is only about 6 good teams this year and a bunch of mediocre ones. If we sweep Duluth next week, they fall even farther and UW might be in decent shape because no one else (like Providence) seems to want to win. All in all, its a screwed up world and nothing will be decided until selection time.

Quite possibly. I also can see a couple of upsets in other conference tournaments/playoffs helping us though (possibly Miami and others losing.) I expect us to win out in the reg season. We need to win out if we have any chance at tying for the cup. CC could easily lose 1 each to Mankato and Denver, thus erasing their lead on us. However, we can't lose. And I don't think we will.

So far tonight is not going our way. I think every result so far does not help us, besides the UMN-UW game. Hopefully UW can pull it out tonight and then we can start fresh again next weekend.

Yeah, what he said!

Did Tech and SC really just trade CFB's? Or did I hear wrong?

Game Day!!!!!!!!!

Well at least next week we get the very exciting matchup of Miami and Ohio St. Yes!!!!
-
But it is good for us so it's all good.

Well, a once promising night turned out be pretty so-so. The teams we really wanted to lose in CC and UNH did not. Denver also is winning which keeps the pressure on us for the 2 seed (not that I think we will let them get it). The Michigan loss is good for the polls and might help us out in the numbers as well. Nice to see St. Cloud win, if only to bring Tech closer to the 9 spot for a possible playoff trip to GF. The gophers winning helps with the Tech scenario but it is not a big deal. Maybe tomorrow will bring a bounty of good results.

SCSU adds another. 2-0 over Tech.
-
UNH takes the lead. 1-0 over BC.

So far, so good.

Thank you for catching that. I guess I should stick to writing 11k.

One could say the same thing about wearing a colored t-shirt. Some one thinks a white out would be a good idea, some others agree, and they want EVERYONE to do what they want. Same with people who wear jerseys. They think wearing a jersey is a good idea so they do it. I admit I was pushing very hard against the white out earlier in the year. However, after the election crap we have had to put up with, I have realized people have different opinions. I might not agree with them and might think they are crazy, but I will never push an idea on someone again. I don't see that in the posts by white-out supporters. I see "You are either with us or against us."I respectfully have to disagree with that mentality.

You are right. I wasn't myself that day. What was I thinking wanting them to do this because for some reason unknown to me, some fans want this to happen? And then what was I thinking stating the fact that while I want to see it for others, I won't participate in it? I should have stuck with my stance in Dec which was to criticize it at every opportunity. Sorry for the moment of weakness. Won't happen again. Also it isn't tradition quite yet. And I never in a million years would have guessed it would be hard to get 11,000 sheep to wear the same color. Never ever.

Kids living in the dorm are basically controlled by UND. UND controls the parking lots, you have no backyard, you pay no utilities, etc. Renting an apartment or house means you are affected by decision about street parking, lawn upkeep ordinances, increases in taxes that may be passed on in your rent in future years, etc. Why would a student renting an aprtment be considered differently than a person from the general public?
-
Yes poor choice of words on my part. The rest of your post seems to be more on the line of what I should have said. Students can declare GF as their residency but most keep it at home do to simplicity( along with tax issues).
-
This is just crazy. Not very many people establish permanent residency in GF but live here year round and are affected by decisions. Yet they shouldn't be able to vote? I can see your point if you were talking about kids in the dorms but if you are renting a house or an apartment, even for only 9 months, you have just as much right as anyone else. I live here year round but I am not about to go transfer my adress to GF just to move it to another city after I finish school. Yet I will still be affectd by new laws so why not vote?
-
I hope they get this going, but I still will be wearing black like last time. Which color did we win with in Dec?
-
Me thinks if you bought them and the gophs didn't come to town, you would be able to sell them for just under what you paid and you would only be out a couple of bucks. Then again, with that username....

I believe a Canisius player got 2 the weekend before last. I don't think he was the 1st either. My question is if this is another DQ or is it just a suspension from the league. If it is another DQ per NCAA rules, one would think he would be out 3 games. If the league just tacked on another game, then it is different.
-
I thought about it but we weren't sure if it people would catch on. The average student seems not to read the news from across the league.
-
So thats were you where sitting. We needed you by the box with your insults. It was pretty weak before the game.

I agree with that. Some friends and I made the trip down this year (our first to an away game). Lots of fun, easy driving, saw no cops, and get to see a state that I hardly ever venture into to. Nice atmosphere and good fans. While not a huge rivalry due to the lack of interaction between the schools, it is a fun game. I will be making the trip again next time.
