  1. Not sure where you're getting 7:35. All home games this season will be 7:35 Fridays, 7:05 Saturdays.
  2. Can't stream a different audio broadcast while watching the video stream.
  3. You're running Windows Media Player 9, right?
  4. It's working. They did pre-game interviews with some of the track coaches, and showed the pre-game intros.
  5. The webcast seems to be up and running fine tonight.
  6. PCM, thanks for coming through with the recap! Much appreciated.
  7. Hennessy is one of the best, no doubt about it, and it sounds as though he's been close on a few NHL opportunities. If his goal is play-by-play at the NHL level, his ship will eventually come in, no question. One of my favorite Hennessy moments was last season against Yale, when a couple of fans started verbally sparring with Tim while on the air. "I think this guy wants to take me outside and kick my rear-end!" Classic.

    Remember Radio

This is an unfortunate situation. Given your access to the team, PCM, as more or less a beat writer, it's understandable if you would just as soon not post the show summaries given the circumstances. However, there's a bit of a "blame the messenger" undertone here. After going back to the thread and looking at Blais' response to the caller, and the NCAA rule, I think Blais was too candid, even though he was probably within the rules. Any legal hand-wringing that resulted was self-inflicted, in my opinion. Here's hoping that someone will be willing to take the time and share this information going forward. I'm not in listening range, or I'd be more than willing.
  9. May have had difficulty? Minor technical difficulties? Just apologize and admit that the thing flat out didn't work. I don't mean to be a buster, but I don't think the freebie against Concordia cuts it. If you're serious about winning potential customers back, offer up the Friday BC game. One more thing. The next time someone goes on the radio between periods doing PR for your new product, make sure it's actually working.
  10. The intro from the first season at the new REA, with the championship seasons flashing to the musical stylings of Godsmack, is still my favorite. Haven't seen this years video, but if I were in charge, there would be a montage of Sioux players pummeling the opposition with Saliva's "Click, Click, Boom" as the background music.
  11. I think they tried this during the Denver playoff series last March. If memory serves, it went something like this: one guy in the parking lot with the hibachi fired up, and about seven people milling around a beer tent by the east entrance. Hey, where else can you pick up a 12 oz bottle of Coors Light for five dollars?
  12. While I generally agree with Woog's predicted order of finish, I don't think a whole lot of original thought went into the analysis. Goaltending, strength of schedule, and offensive production from the blueline (or lack of any of the above) are cliches, and have all been beat to death by the blowhards on POI and USCHO to the point of becoming folklore. Yes, goaltending was an issue. Three of the four were sent on their way, and two of the top six USHL goalies (by GAA) were signed. What more can you ask of Blais to address the issue? Pat is right, the tandem of Johnson/Briggs is as big of a question mark as the Sioux situation. As far as the non-conference schedule goes, we all agree last season was a joke. However, Boston College, Yale, and Duluth is very comparable to what the non-conference schedule looked like in prior seasons. Blais is back to the formula of two with Hockey East, and two with the ECAC. This is back to business is usual, with last season being an aberration. With the issue of offensive production from our defensemen, I agree with Pat and Mad Man's posts. Again, I agree with Minnesota-North Dakota in the one-two spots, but I think depth at forward and special-teams play will be the difference. Just my $0.02.
  13. The video quality is pretty decent.
  14. Hennessy and his sidekick are implying that this may be the smallest crowd in REA history.
  15. Yes, but he sounds like he's coming at us live, from Pluto.
  16. Alternating Miller Lites and Limon Cokes.
  17. What a train wreck. This is like a Dilbert cartoon, with the English chick starring as the pointy haired boss.
  18. Call me crazy, but I'd make sure the product was working, if I was her. She's totally clueless that we're out here in the dark.
  19. Porter going off for a high stick. EDIT: Stauffacher called for a slash with 0.2 seconds left.
  20. It lasted a good 45 seconds according to the Duluth guys. That's an eternity in the hockey fight world (in college).
  21. The Duluth feed seems to be working OK. Prpich and Peluso going at it, now. Peluso seeming to be getting the best of it, according to Duluth announcers.
  22. My audio stream is doing funky things too. Senser's Roseville has shown the games in the past. Champp's Maple Grove might be worth a try.
  23. This place, hopefully, lost thousands of dollars in revenue tonight (indirectly). Find a bar with the big dish, and watch it there. Who needs this hassle.
