  1. In the post game radio interview Hakstol said that Anderson told him 26 drilled him into the boards just like last night. Let's see it wasn't 26 and it wasn't a thing like the night before. (Which was a good call BTW.) I'm still madder about the "elbowing to the head" that Friesema called on blood. I think that call ruined the game. Of course one bad call shouldn't lead to the team falling apart, but this one did.
  2. Boy I had forgotten that one. I need to brush up on my unwritten rules in the WCHA. It's kinda hard since nobody's ever, you know, written them down.
  3. I don't think the guy was even knocked down. It looks like he more or less tripped over Malone's legs.
  4. He was meant to score. He was my Sioux Survivor pick for the night. Anderson owes me bigtime.
  5. Anyone got a video.
  6. One would think that if you're going to have surgery in the middle of the season it's serious. Considering that, I really respect the job that he's done in the first half.
  7. His "elbow to the head" was also a phantom call. He dropped his shoulder into the the guys chest. Friesema had his head turned, saw the fall out of the corner of his eye and made up a call. Wisconsin scored on the first power play. I don't see that Blood cost us the game at all. I'll admit (I think Ben would be the first one to admit it) that he took a stupid one right after that in frustration. But if Friesema doesn't call a penalty that he didn't see then we don't have a penalty problem in the second period. I thought the point of two referee's was to get it right. It was a great check.
  8. That first penalty on Blood pisses me off. He dropped his shoulder into the guys chest. Freisema had his head turned and called it without knowing what he was calling. Probably shouldn't complain much since I think Blood should have gotten a CFB on the second penalty.
  9. Any idea what it was for?
  10. Crisco Kristo.
  11. Advance to the next night? What a concept?
  12. Anyone else choose Blood for tonight. So what's the deal if your guy scores? Are you supposed to do anything?
  13. This will be a sweep, no doubt about it! (I'm actually terrible at predictions, but I have been right on occasion.)
  14. I sure as heck am not standing because some twits were sitting in a conference room trying to drum up atmosphere.
  15. Any word on Matt?
  16. That Bemidji road trip has been brutal ever since the Flapjack restaurant in McIntosh closed.
  17. Blood!
  18. There's no way Finley's hit on Skille could be considered illegal. I thought at the time that Smaby's hit was perhaps a boarding. The thing about that that incident that injury was a freak thing that could have happened in a lesser hit.
  19. He's a scoring machine.
  20. AH I hadn't considered the satellite time as an expense. Maybe the infernalnet will be up to the task in a few years. Thanks!
  21. I'm sure the WDAZ guys know their business. If they could make money at showing the Duluth games then they'd do it. What I don't understand is why it's profitable for them to show the home games and not the away games. It seems to me that away games would have maybe 11,500 MORE people watching the games than the home games. That should make up the cost of a few hotel rooms. OR you'd think they could even pick up the Duluth TV feed and show it on the local network. As I said, I'm sure they'd do it if it was feasible.
  22. I have this picture of a small helmet not at all constraining a massive fro. I'm sure that I saw Donna play, but I don't recall any opposing players at all from that era.
  23. Why is everyone always poo-pooing my conspiracy theories?
  24. Put a jerk in a renta cop uniform and you wind up with a bigger jerk.
  25. http://siouxsports.com/mens-hockey/schedule/und/ I think you can figure that out.
